I can't help but wonder what if any progressivity is in the flex of these - as much as a 1200gr boot can be progressive when being supportive. The current version of the Hoji lock seems to create a system with very limited forward progressiveness due to the two contact points on the side of the system touching parts of the lower shell that cannot bend in any meaningful way. This is obviously less of a concern if you are only banging out laps in fresh snow off piste, yet your shins will still take a beating if you have to ski variable or icy snow. Time will tell.
