A+ morning in everyone's favorite storm trees

+1 for collarbone plate if that's on the table
Well fuck. So much for sneaking in laps pre/during SB

Jesus fuck where's that's? Westbound?
tried to get some morning laps in with the groms, zero parking at west, central, Silver and Hyak, came back home. I guess we won by not getting stuck in a 90 closure? Making lemonade here. In hindsight not the best day to get a leisurely late start.
I like my vantage point better.......

Sessel line was all the way to shit 10 pisser.
One upper and one nash/felsen/SD was all I could squeeze in and snow was pretty all time on the Alpy quality scale but dayum > 2.5 hrs is a long time to wait to load Armstrong
Randomly ended up in line next to Californiagrown. Great skiing with you amigo.
Was nuking as I left lot4 @ 12:30

Yeah I got up late. Arrived at 10:15 to no parking and a hellacious Armstrong line. Decided to bail as I had SB plans at 2pm. I also am Ikonic so I didn’t want to burn 2 days in a weekend for a couple laps.
Wow. Those lines are just... wow. Especially for Super Bowl Sunday.
Self-powered turns elsewhere on the pass for today and it was fabulous. Best snow of the year by far. Right-side up, cold smoke blower.Attachment 361795Attachment 361796Attachment 361797
Wow. Long wait in traffic up. Long wait in traffic back. But the two hours of ripping was unreal. Good too see SVS up there! Just total launch without concern for anything, pop off anything. Great. Oh and forgot socks, so just slammed the bare feet in and went for it. Thank god for intuition. Was nuking from close til I got off pass. Expect Tuesday to be unreal as well. Good shit!
I'll just second this.
Didn't seem like the best day to do that.[/QUOTE] Yeah, we stayed in low-to-moderate angle trees. An ECT surprisingly had zero results, despite low density sugary snow sitting underneath crusts at 50cm and 80cm. Even with those promising results, we stuck to the original plan of avoiding open slopes.
Superline Sunday indeed. I got there early AF which led to some really good runs - but not a lot of them!

One of my top 10 alpy days all time.
Two upper mtn
5 Nash/ Adrenalin/ Snelsen
And one lower mtn.
At one point on Nash every turn was a face shot. Logged a lot of those today more than I ever had in a single day here
Worth the wait

Had to think for a second why they were burning those and then remembered the 20 explosions from earlier and the two hour wait. Today was tits but that was the most waiting around and waiting in line I've done in sometime. Felsen was $$ tho.
May be up tomorrow...could be very very good
