Splitting between Zurich and Klosters. Definitely favoring Klosters in winter.
More pictures from this morning. It’s already a bit crusty down here, but still... optimistic they’ll open lefts next weekend.

Any chance they open early?
Waking up to Vendul's photos, and an email from Dan confirming reservation for the Urner Haute route has got me stoked.
Looking good @mtlodge_sedrun 1450m:

Like Dex's response to the waitress in Nelson circa 2001 (?) who asked where we were from: "the internets."
my daughters are far too young for me to be have a conversation with the wife a long the lines of "im having a week skiing with the lads from TGR whom i dont really know but youll be ok with the babies"
if she kicked me out between now and then and could make it, id possibly suggest the monta rosa area,

It's kind of a done deal location wise, partly in celebration of maggot venduls' new hotel acquisition in Rueras.
If it's dumping, Andermatt-Disentis will have more than enough to do.
If not, there's been mention of a day trip, maybe to the Engadin, which would rock my world. Then there's also supertankers of sweet tours and huts all around and the Oberalpsstock variants.
Alagna makes me moist, but it's a 4 hour roll.
We'll just have to see what unfolds and get suggestions from that miscreant subtle plague as well as drunk arguments among us.
Bring the family, there's beginner lifts a 3 minute train ride away at Dieni or in the other direction, Sedrun. 65 chf/night sharing double, breakfast and dinner included. "Honey, it's a bargain!" The train stop is 100m away from venduls hotel.

The spa at the chedi is ridiculously expensive, even by Swiss standards where you pay 30+ for 2 hours. We thought about that while touring in the bedretto. It's like 200chf per day... [emoji47] without any massages or anything fancy as far as I understood the website.
we stayed smelly.
