The rockered 191 Fat and spooned 189 L122 must duel to the death.
Got a few mins on the chair with Aaron and he says the thing he likes best about the rockered 191 Fat is the feeling of unlimited maneuverability at speed. I think this is the hallmark of the new rocker Splat has introduced to the line as I get that same feeling from the 196's. A ski that big should not feel that nimble in tight places. Maxim Arsenault also likes that feeling after he stomps a big air and has to quickly regain composure to set up for his next big air. To quote Max, "I feel like I'm putting on superman cape when I ski on dose ski"Quote:

Headlamp skiing on mine in the pow last night was Amazing! Getting a faceshot to surprise cornice drop was pretty sweet too.

Since Toby and Max love the 196 Lhasa with rocker, I decided the first pair of 186 Fats should be tried with rocker. powdork's gonna pick them up tomorrow and I'm gonna try to get him to throw some z12 or 120 demos on them for passing around.

Next pair will have a little positive camber underfoot and a beefed up mount area for any additional torque the width might add on hardpack. I've rockered the 186 before and it tends to give up on hardpack what it gains in powder and vice versa. Pressed this pair on the Kusala block because the subtle reverse camber still tends to engage full length on edge on the Kusala. Hopefully, the tail won't be too loose. But that would be the shit in powder.
