They are still at it. Roger has been dealing with cancer this pst year or two. Vinnie will die with a mohawk and in his Docs. A high school hard core bud of mine does sound stuff for all the old school NYHC/DMS bands. He travels all over the world with those guys. His Instagram is pretty dope.

I love so many bands that are clearly influenced by (or just plain ripping off) The Ramones: Descendents, NOFX, Misfits, Dwarves, etc. American Punk has been my absolute favorite genre for over 20 years, I listen to it nearly daily and it irrefutably wouldn’t exist without the Ramones.

Yet, as many times as I’ve tried to get into them, I’ve never been able to.

“It’s Alive” is one of the best live albums ever. Pure raw energy.

I found that as well about four months ago. Absolutely amazing, even more so when you see what year it was.

And if anyone is looking to hear some pretty good new stuff, Sonic Reducer on KEXP has me really digging the genre again 🤘

Once it's fall I always fell like skating and listening to punk.
