Breaking Bad

Two guys standing out in the open. One has a shotgun with maybe 7 or 8 rounds. The other has a Glock with 19 rounds (? - forgot what Hank carries). They may or may not be wearing soft armor vests which wouldn't even slow down a 5.56 round. A whole bunch of other guys armed with M 16s, handguns and a full auto shotgun. Wearing at least soft armor which would stop shotgun and Glock rounds. These guys just got done smoking and entire drug cartel a couple episodes ago. Hank and Gonzales are ok. So far.

Right.

I expected Gonzales to go down at the very least.

...and I was kinda expecting Walt to send the Arayan Nations over to Hank's to grab Marrie while he was hiding behind the rock. That would have made sense.

Hank and Gonzales should have thought of Jake and Elwood in this situation.

That ending was so weak. That was a Walking Dead moment right there. Would never ever happen.

It's really gonna suck if this show ends up pulling a Twin Peaks in the last few episodes.

I expect mayhem for the next two episodes, then after everyone else is wasted or has split we'll get the story on how Walt's gone into remission and become a lone machine-gun-toting cowboy that needs a little ricin to wrap things up.

Rampant speculation:

So in the flash forward Walt has the machine gun and the ricin.
The machine gun seems to be to deal with the Nazi gang but what about the ricin?
There seem to be three solo players that could be possible targets. Jesse, Lydia, and Marie.
Lydia never has had any leverage over Walt.
I don't see Walt using it on Jesse.
Yea, what if Hank is killed in the shootout and Marie goes whacko after Walt?

Machine gun for Nazi makes sense - Ricin used on Marie is a plot twist I could get behind at this point. Question is who lives to show up for cameos in Saul's show?

i thought when walt lost his cell signal he would surmise that jesse wasnt where the money was, but hank proved that you can get service in the middle of the desert

I can see the m 60 for the nazis some what but that's a lot of targets for one person and that gun is a two person operation when you consider the weight of the gun and ammo for a normal person let alone a cancer patient

That ending pisses me off so much. The guy drew a bead on one of them and ran out a full auto burst. If they ran immediately I could kinda see it but they stood there firing back at them. No one is that bad of a shot. And a bunch of the Nazis bring pistols? C'mon. How do scenes like that get past the directors, etc. Doesn't someone say, umm that shit looks fake.

Maybe the sun was in their eyes?

more rampant speculation: VG pays a lot of homage to scarface. in the end, everyone dies except the baby. that would just be wrong.

did anyone get the scarface reference in the previous episode? saul: do you think that's gonna leave a scar? he was even dressed like tony montana. i lol'd for realz.

i'm wondering if the girl from grey matter (in the earlier seasons) will show up again. seems like they need to tie up that angle somehow. maybe everyone dies and she ends up adopting holly.

Should have ended just as he drew and bead and started to pull. That would have worked. Then in the first 1 second of next an alien space craft ( like in Life of Brian) comes down and takes them to safety.

A theory floating around:

In the last episode of Breaking Bad, Walt turns states evidence and they put him into a witness protection program.

This is also the first episode of Malcolm in the Middle.

Prequel....that means VG can go scorched earth in last three episodes and not worry about it.

Ever since last Sunday I've been convinced this will end with some kind of half-assed Deus ex machina, this negating the entire show.

The show has been about Walter dying and I think he will die in the last episode.

Yes there are some flaws like in the final shoot out but I'm still loving these final episodes.

That was some wild shit. Im so glad Hank got it. That was finale worthy IMO.

Ok, they are forgiven for the end of the last episode, but I agree with the poster who said they just should have shown the first shot being fired. So Walt gets a machine gun, goes after the nazis, gets killed in the process. Will Marie forgive her sister now?
