probably going to hit 80 in denver today
I hate how hot it is, this is ridiculous.
From snowforecast.com
Hurray for good newsQuote:
-several storms lineup in the Pacific for a good shot at significant snows early next week (25th on) as the pattern reverts back to unsettled for the Western US. We expect large scale low pressure troughing and a series of storms possible through early December. *The east and west coasts usually trade unsettled/ rain/ snow patterns with calm/ sunny/ high pressure patterns (not always), back and forth, and the east coast should be unsettled now through the 24th. CM
While it would seem that nothing could change until the 28th, the large spread amongst the models makes next week kind of a wash...
If you take the GJ Zone forecast on its face, it says outside the forecast time the pattern changes which would be the 26th or so. I'd say its a good bet that we'll be out of this persistent high by next weekend.
I concur with these assessments

They were saying on The Weather Channel this morning that it was colder in Key West yesterday than it was in Denver. There were a couple of other crazy temps around the country as well.Quote:

Keep the faith people, it is still early. We'll see how long I can stay positive.
I should also mention that I have been heavily sedated recently.
once again, a pathetic early season. i've grown tired of riding the bike, I'm fucking ready to ski, but can't justify going up there to carve slush on a WROD. Ullr, why have you forsaken us?
Ugh i was up at A-basin saturday and it blew. Man-made snow, ice sheet on top. Ski patrollers every 200 yards yelling at everyone. I don't think I'll go back until there is some real accumulation.
I am not holding out much faith for this incoming storm nor the little shortwaves dropping out of the NW for this weekend.
Until the westerlies really punch through and the large persistent high pressure off the west coast breaks down, we won't be getting big storms.
Will there be a big snow before Christmas?:nonono2:
Doesn't look good long term at all.
FUCK. 67890
*cries* :(
montanaskier is fine....the WROD is going off right now.

Is the high pressure finally going to move from over top of Colorado?
not fully...at least not for awhile. It will break down a bit over the weekend then again late next week but nothing long term and nothing in the way of "big" storms on the horizon.
Montanaskier, since you seem to know what you're talking about... What about by Dec 15-19? Think that high will move out by then. That's when I am making a ski trip out that way.
no way to tell, it could break down before then and we could get dumped on. Pattern seems more active than the past couple of weeks...we'll see.
I'll keep praying. It would suck to spend all that money to come out there and ski 4 runs.
I swear Loveland reported a loss in snow today. At least the tunnel traffic cam looks like a couple more inches fell atound midnight.

highly unlikely but if all the possible highs hit....11 inches!
I'll take 6 total and like it.
strong North/NW flow setting up over the the divide. this is where the front range/summit get favored. totals won't be huge, but it should be persistent.

Super light and deep snow at Loveland today- it was DUMPING when I left too. If it keeps it up all night tomorrow is going to be unreal.
Let's stop trying to predict the weather. 12" so far at Aspen and still dumping....
