Yes. There is a recipe comp every year for the following season, but they are pretty consistent. You can only do so much with a traditional cc cookie.

Nice day up there today. Dropped kids off and arrived at crack o’ten. Nice parking spot. Roads pretty much dry until Eldora Rd then felt like winter.

Great last minute decision to head up. Rode the lifts w/ some real nice folks and everyone was stoked. Probably my last time there for the season.
Oh and very little W, especially compared to what we’ve been getting on the Front Range. Almost oddly calm. Amazing.
dam, tried to get up there today but got to pay the bills, will be up tomorrow and close it down sunday
Trying for Sunday too.
Love spring storms.

Explain this roux in the oven thing
Hehehe. Maybe. I’ve heard that works.
Ya put the flour, dry, in a oven safe pan or cookie sheet, bake at 410f for an hour or so. Basic idea is it cooks up brown but without using oil. It’s hard to get it quite as dark but i love not using a full cup of cooking oil. Get it to a cinnamon color and it’s good to go.
Gotta put the sausage in:

Since it’s country style we gotta add okra:

They’d say put it in a skillet for a minute or two to cook off the “ slime-ness” I dunno.
Viola!

Sorry to miss the gumbo and y'all. Skied some pow at MJ instead.
A little video about the adaptive ski program up there. I spent some time volunteering with them this season and it was a lot of fun.

Opening a week early. Sounds like ultra WROD

embrace the clusterfuck
Unfortunately, the "D" in WROD has a lot more meaning at Eldora. Let's hope for zero D this season.
Expect more yellow jackets on course?
I may burn another ikon day at Abasin tomorrow instead of joining the CF.
