damn, that hat is dirtier than my college girlfriend. Purty spots on those brownies too.
Nice Roos! I frequent some pretty obscure places in this county and yep...they are all sticker up. You'll appreicate this conversation I had up at Fraser Crossing.
Maintenance Guy "I moved up here a year ago, but I've been fishing around here for about 5"
Electrician (who you probably know...the Italian Redneck) "fishing or catching"
MG "Better be catching, I'm a certified fly fishing guide"
Me "How big is your net, got any flat brims, now many buffs?"
MG "I carry a Fishpond 42"
That guy is a Huge Fly Fisherman
Steelhead are assholes. I'm on a hell of a dry streak, 10 days or so. Just keep casting.

I am doing my very best to resist the steelhead bug, you are not helping me!
If 10 days without a grab sound fun to you then you’ll fit right in. [emoji12]

On the last day of the trip the fishing really turned on for sunset fishing. Got into a bunch of fired up half pounders. Not quite how I pictured this trip going but what can ya do.
10 days without a grab sounds a whole lot like many of the tarpon trips! Good, I guess I have that covered then!
Maybe this will help.

This. I have a house 2 miles from a steelhead river. I’ve fished it a few times and caught a couple. It’s something to do in October or November when you’ve got the fishing itch that you need to scratch. I also did a camping trip on the Klickitat and got one. I just don’t find it interesting, all that repetitive casting.
It's not all doom and gloom Summer steelhead in the Elwha rise from the ashes
I think I clicked less than 10 iPhone pics so far this year. Always say this but next year I’ll take more to share.
Ran across this from a month back. One of my favorites. Teleee - it’s time.

Don’t know bout you guys but I love me some lakes. November on Jackson lake is prime time for me. No secret. Can’t hide the Tetons. But very few are dumb enough to spend days out there this time of year. Thankfully, if you take that path, you can be greatly rewarded. Of course we didn’t take fish pics of the good ones today, cuz why would you do that? Mountains are prettier. Fishing has been fantastic from mid lake reefs up the snake to the Jellystone boundary.

I felt an obligation to take one here for a the first fish of the day.
