Well if I'd been feeling a bit richer a month or two ago when the Spats were up for auction on eBay, I would have a pair of them too. Fierce devotion? Not really, I do love the way they ski, super stable and damp, flexible but torsionally rigid, forgiving and smooth as silk, able to blast through all manner of crud and crust. They are great skis. I think that's why McConkey wanted them as his sponser. Doubtless there were other companies that would have been more lucritive.Quote:
