Friend of mine broke his back on one of those at a flour mill. Dispatched to a fire on the 13th(?) floor and he hops on with his airpack to go up. Guy from the mill operating the lift from below thinks that the lift is jammed or stuck, so he keeps forcing the button. What happened was buddies airpack got jammed up going through one of the floors and the belt is just fucking crushing him against the ceiling/floor. It almost killed him, he was never the same and had to take a medical retirement. City hired him as a building inspector and he just retired for good last year.Quote:
