I'm missing the press. Well at least the press...
And yeah I assumed it was more than the AR, "building" it was pretty simple.

Harbor Freight and Jegs have good deals on 12 ton shop presses. I might pick one up today.
If you have or can spring for the flat jig and a spot welder those are kind of the big ticket items
Gonna try my first AK build after I get a couple more tools.

Took my Ruger Precision Rifle out for a little load development and mid-range steel plinking. Best groups on my first test loads was a 107 Sierra Match King over either H1000 and IMR7977 - around .5 at 100 yards. Going to work on those loads more. Then shot steel gongs at 320, 350 and 420 yards with ease. It's a sweet gun.

Also picked up this little guy for daily carry. Walther PPS M2 9mm. Have shot around 150 rounds through it so far and it's flawless. Really light recoil for a 9mm single stack, feels like less than the Glock 43 and on par or a little less than the Shield. Got a holster for it too.
sweet shootin table

Have a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend everyone. Remember, shoot first and then enjoy a beverage. Don't mix em.
PSA-Sports Authority is marking firearms down 30% or at least did in Lewiston, ID. Just picked up a Benelli SBEII for $1,300.
They have some Stoeger over unders for cheap, but some quick Google searching suggests they are garbage. Whatever happened to a decent shotgun for $200, or even $400? Pump or over under.
Benelli nova, Remington 870 are both excellent guns for under $400.
Pre 1998(?) 870's are the bomb. Right around then something changed and they went to shit.
Novas are great pumps for sure but the SBE is the best sporting shotgun ever made, hands down. My Gen 1 has seen 17 or 18 years of hard use, God knows how many shells, rain, snow, mud, sub zero temps, the bottom of the river several times and it has probably jammed less than 5 times. They can be field stripped without a tool, require zero maintenance and fit most folks like a lambskin rubber.
If there's a comparable automatic shotgun, I'll eat wang.
There isn't! Love my SBEII! I have 2 870's as well. One got converted into an " intruder be dead" gun. The other is an 870 mag as a back up to my 'nelli, not that she ever needs it.
No luv fo da M4 Benelli?
What's an SBE? New 870 in decent configuration for less than $400? I don't mean $399. I didn't think that was a thing anymore.
Benelli Super Black Eagle, 3.5" auto loader. Yes, my local north 40 has the 870 express for $329. Bass pro has them for the same, so less than $400. That's fucking peanuts man.
Right on.
That express is no wingmaster though.
Never said it was. That wingmaster is no SBEII!
Don't forget the Mozzburg
Ayup. The 590A1 below has been thru hell & back, and has never had a single issue.

Work horse!^
I've found that the newer 870s seem to have shell extraction issues when they start warming up for some reason. 3 seperate 870s that various friends have and all seem to have the same issue.
That's not good. Have they contacted Remington?
