Colorado Weather Discussion Thread

Foggy, will definitely be in touch as I get close to the point of really looking. Won't be till late Spring '25 at earliest, I am just looking at zillow these days to get a sense of what I want.

I've done a seasonal rental in Ghetto Ridge so generally familiar with the layouts (but it was 15+ years ago so of course things have changed), and liked it (for what it was). But there is definitely an appeal to being in WP, especially if the gondi happens.

And underoos, plug noted, will be in touch with you too.

Look at the pricing difference between HCH and Beavers. There is a difference in build quality, maintenance history, HOA finances and management.

I'm thinking that given the latest press release, proximity to the town gondi is priced in.

As in Beaver Village is better situated with build quality, maintenance history, HOA finances and management?

They are priced higher than I may be able to afford, but that somewhat depends on how much $ the GF kicks in, and better finances/maintenance and close to the gondi are important things long term.

Speaking of weather... shit is splitter right now. Three straight days of perfect high country conditions, light winds, cool temps, no threatening rain, tacky dirt, and beautiful sunsets.

I really feel like if society ate more psychedelics and got outside more, things would be better as a whole. Of course it would take a while to work out the kinks, but the end result would be beneficial to the huge manatee.

Nice walk up Grizzly this AM, not much traffic on the early shift but the return trip after having the summit to myself made for an abrupt return to reality. Some people really hate tundra. Heck of a first half though

someone headed up to grizzly peak yesterday from loveland pass and decided to take a short cut down
then decided to call 911 cause they "got lost" just another day in scummit county thrashing the back country
musta been inspired by petedee's post

Assuming they went down the same side as Loveland pass and not down the backside that is especially impressive.

Almost 30 years ago, we descended SFB, sans snow, in a thunderstorm. That was pretty neat. It is much better to hike the whole thing to the basin and walk down the ski area.

How loose was it? That would be a fun decent vs retracing the ridge route back to Loveland Pass.

SFB was loose as shit and pretty scary if I hadnt been a 19 year old nut job. The second time, hiking the ridge to the basin was a super fun scramble.
