EDIT: Sold!
Since summer weekend camping reservations are almost as hard to come by as a winning lottery ticket (especially holiday weekend ones!), I have an extra camping reservation for the July 4th weekend that I'll offer up here before I throw it back into the general pool. I have it reserved from July 3-6 (4 nights, but I can drop July 3rd if you only want it for 3 nights), checking out Sunday the 7th.
The campsite is at the Chapman Campground (outside of Basalt), it's next to a creek and has shade, and the whole area is really pretty. If you want to know more about the campground/site/area before committing, ask away (we camped here last summer too).
The only downside is that I will be your next door neighbor.
Send me a PM if you are interested.
I'll piggyback on this. I have a yurt reserved at bear creek lake park for the sunday night of String Cheese 7/14. Can't make it. We ride bikes to morrison then walk up trading post trail to show, reverse with headlamps after.
I have sometime before I need to cancel. But if anyone wants it I can coordinate when I cancel it.
Also, campnabber app FTW. $10/mo you get notifications on campsite and river permit cancellations.
Anyone been up on Indy Pass lately? Is it generally freezing ATL? Weather stations look like it's been close to freezing.

Can’t say I remember seeing an advisory like this in early June. It’s warm AF.

Fire in Twin Lakes/Interlaken Resort. Great.
"It was determined that the fire originated from an abandoned campfire located about 60 yards from the Interlaken trail and 1.5 miles from the trailhead. This campfire was not properly extinguished and continued to burn. It is believed that the campfire was abandoned several days prior to its report on June 11, 2024. "

Mtn biking in Breck and it’s fucking hot up here.
87 in the boat today, ugh
Yeah, 83 at 6pm in The Icebox of the Nation
But I laugh, I really as an Eskimo. I live in one of the coldest valleys in the county. A couple of warm days and I'm read for winter.

Yeah, I'm with you. Can't stand it when it hits the 80's.
Fell asleep on the couch on my deck last night watching a light show over the front range. It was so nice and warm out.
85 in Aspen yesterday. I went for a ride at 7:00 PM and barely broke a sweat.
Yeah, I'm not complaining. I'm simply acknowledging that in the middle of winter I don't dream about summer.
I think there is, at least for me, I simplicity of winter that I enjoy. Ski, snowmobile, hang with the small group of like minded friends, eat, sleep, yoga, repeat. Summer just feels way more chaotic. I think most people probably feel the opposite.

This heat wave leave any snow for a mellow tour in the summit area? Looking to squeeze in one more tour with the pup but guessing the window may have passed
