May every Mag’s pan be full this Christmas morning…
Be well and enjoy your days!
Nothing wrong with a lil bacon in the chowdah!
Even his bacon has a certain unmistakable flow to it.

legit best day in sooooo long knee deep light bottomless wtf
I was thinking more of corn chowdah with a bacon fat stock. A few chunks o’ pork wouldn’t hurt it, either:)

Gumbo is soup too...sort of
that’s a… bold claim… let’s see how that works for ya.
The photo preceded the shrimp and andouille. Somehow there was no cayenne pepper so used harissa instead.

Gumbo, soup vs. stew. That is an age old debate. Possibly more murky than gumbo with potatoes vs rice or always rice sometimes potatoes.

Looking good ExPB. Will be around Jay/Sutton for the next week in spite of the forecast. If anyone has a kiddo and happens to be looking for gear- I have a pair of 118 Rosi Scratches and a pair of 128 Gotamas that I could hand off. I'd give the 118's to you for free or the Gotamas for 50$. Pics here
Quick question. What shop would you use for new boots at stratton/solo/manchester (only that area). Wife will be there tomorrow and is in market for new boots. TKS in advance
Great pics, XPB.
I wasn’t the first to get it but you can still find coverage in the backcountry. Just don’t expect your skis to come back with shiny bases.

looks nice and yes, i can report multiple base repair sessions this week - and from skiing only on trails.

crowded down below
no base days transition here to just base;0)
edit: actually evidence of considerable grooming restraint .
Cannon still closed. No snow in my yard in Franconia. Drove over to SRiver and there is solid coverage of refrozen styrofoam everywhere and where they made snow and groomed it was grippy. Totally worth the hour each way.
And first day on the new Jordan 8. The bubble is red so when you open it everything is glowing blue [emoji838]
Also I was surprised the place was totally empty.

Skirack in Burlington.
Just booked a rental car to drive back from PA thanks to Southwest and their operational meltdown. But now I can bring back plenty of Yuengling and butter!

Ditto. Racestock is the only answer.

No, there are plenty of answers. RaceStock is just the only *correct* one.
Last time I went in, though, you needed to plan a lot more than a week ahead to get an appointment.

Why would you want any answer other than the correct one??
Lots of options, true. I would go to PJ.

Any words of wisdom for a family of four going to quebec city winter carnaval for the first couple of days of the festivus? We will luckily have a college age friend coming with to help with the kids too. :) so perhaps suggestions for nighttime activities sans rugrats?

We went with our then high school aged kids several years ago. It is a freakin' blast. Enjoy the ice castle (and ice bars), parades, and toboggan track. Lots of night time events so make sure the kids get a nap before heading out in the evening.
We love XC skiing on the Plains of Abraham, but MSA has an incredible network. Apparently MSA alpine is closed, so you may be able to bring skins and earn turns (ask around first as I can't confirm this).
Hopefully you have a hotel in the Old City. If you get out for a nice meal, the Bistro Boreal is pretty great.
