--The Beast means business! With our snowmaking system running at maximum capacity, Killington snowmakers are piling up the white stuff on both Snowdon and Skye Peak. In fact, the whole Mountain Operations team is working at capacity to bring you some eagerly awaited terrain expansion!
What this means for you, skiers and riders, is that we'll be adding the Snowdon triple chair Thursday morning, for top-to-bottom skiing on Snowdon Mountain. And thats not all. By Thursday afternoon the Superstar Express quad will also be turning, effectively doubling The Beast's early-season lift capacity in one day!
I was joking, you know. that whole "debate" about early season snow's retahdid, imo.:). if this snow sticks around and turns into a base of some sort, i'll drive further than normal to get some fer sure. nice job to those that chased it and scored!Quote:

As an admitted Nervous Nellie about early season turns (and numerous broken bones to support my position) I determined NOT to head to Jay this week. I fucked up.

sunday rivah is now offering the most open terrain in da east with a price of 49 bux. get a frequent skier card for early/late season. good deal, ayup.
would be a lovely day for skiing corn bliss groomers with temps soaring into the 50's. the mtb had to do this am. daily ride/trail building continues and will till a healthy network is in place. should take me a coupla months. hit the deck hard this am on the long gradual dh on my home with a pack full o trail tools. front wheel kicked out and I zigged and zagged flailing bouncing riding an endo till finally, SLAM!!! flew off the bike, hit the deck and rolled out of it. thank fucking god for copious amounts of martial arts as a youth:eek:. a-ok:D
if yer a mtb'r there ain't nuthin much better than riding trails that you design and build.

Yeah, I'm not digging that new camera location. It used to be set back a bit further on the old gondola building. Since they took that down, they move the camera closer to the lift. I think Wildcat wants everybody to be able to see the top of the quad. However, the new location closer to the lift doesn't allow the camera to also see Tuckerman Ravine. :nonono2:Quote:

I had no trouble finding someone to split a 2-fer with today. Guy from Jersey who drove 5.5 hours each way to ski for just today.
