Long shot but is anyone going to be at the Golden Gate Wingmen show in Vegas on 4/6? I’m there for one night and those boys are playing.

^^i wish, they’re sounding good this tour
Today in GDH -- 3/28/81 Gruga Halle Essen - can't stop playing this show - just oozing soul, I can just imagine those furry german hippy girls grooving in the hall that night
Oh that Althea. Garcia starts really delivering the mail after 6:00.....
stuck on this show, never really listed to the whole thing I think we used to just check out the NFA with Townsend back in the days.
Not sure if they have shots of the German hippies in the crowd, but iirc you can see the coke on their noses in this

JGB 12/3/83 Boston
Forgot how much I like Jerry Band. Just cranked Dear Prudence. It’s so freaking good. Thanks Labby.
Jerry Band has always been what my tastes matured to.
First I became a stoner then I learned about bubbleberry.
First you drink, then you learn of premium wines and spirits.
First your drive, then you learn of Mercedes Benz.
First there was Grateful Dead, then there was Jerry Garcia Band.
To take it one step further, and refine/distill it to a more pure form, there was Legion of Mary!
Legion of Mary = The Holy Grail!
amen
Jerry Band.
How good was that keane college show - 2/28/80 the mission brings me to tears every time.
The beauty of later jgb was the much much mellower scene and smaller venues. Places like great woods, Rochester and Syracuse auditoriums, where the dead last played pre in the dark, hosted jgb as late as 93. Not to mention the warfield. Don’t know if it’s an official release but the June 82 music mountain was one of my earlier tapes and favorites. LOM is great; seems to have benefitted a la 1977 from the many great recordings.
I’m really digging the new Hilo release which was never previously available w a good recording.
Yesterday in gd history - yeah I'm a bit late but we can't let that duke show go by without a listen
4/12/78
bump
A day late... but the this day in gd history for 4-17 is particularly strong. So many gems
Is there a way to watch a HD version of the Sunshine Daydream show from '72?
The YouTube vids are okay but I'm looking for something clearer. I'd buy the Blu Ray if it was a stand alone item but without a CD player, the box set isn't worth it.
Happy Bicycle Day all!
39yrs ago today, Brent's 1st show. Good beach listening. Happy Earth Day people!

Just cranked the Jack Straw opener, so many Phil Bombs!
Happy 5/8 Day! The commercial release of the remastered Betty's is the obvious choice but for a different mix check out this matrix.

You really want to see naked pole guy any clearer?
bummed out to hear some really cheap prices for autzen. i can't stand mayer but i would have liked to take the boy to a show at my old shooting/stomping grounds but we're going to be in china.
Betty board that CM worked his magic on. 45+ minute He's Gone -> Truckin'

Nice find! I’m not a huge, He’s Gone>Truckin, guy. I get that it’s iconic Dead. Just not my thing. Here Comes Sunshine and Bobby McGee on the other hand, damn! Jerry and Billy are so dialed in on each other during the first part of the HCS jam. I wish they had done more with this song. It lends itself perfectly, for monster jams. I want to hear 30 minute versions. They should have kept it in the rotation, I never caught one live, bummer.
Bobby McGee suffers from some audio problems, but the Jerry and Keith on electric keyboard jam is drippy goodness.
Killer set list for the whole show, Charlie Miller, rules hard.
I've been on a non stop rotation of this Dick's Picks 12/19/73 HCS on the road lately, it's a worthy example

The HCS from Dicks #1 (December 19, 1973, Curtis Hixon Hall, Tampa, Florida), has always been a fav of mine.
My 18 year old daughter was going through some long forgotten boxes in the basement and came across some flyers/posters which she thought we super cool. I forgot I had kept them. I remember hand coloring the Summer ‘89 poster with fine point markers.
