That looks like a mighty fine squirrel chaser.

The cooler temps in the early mornings and evenings have been pretty nice lately.

Like.
Ha, not even trying to sell them to kids anymore. Funny how ahead of their time those things were, also, what big pieces of crap they were. Nice find.
Fortunately I don’t have kiddos so I don’t have to share. I always wanted the original Galaxy Explorer, which is now a 4-figure vintage kit.

did they card you for that purchase?
Funny you should say that, I had the same thought standing in front of the 8 foot tall pallet of cars. There's no way a kid is grabbing one on the top. That display was aimed squarely at folks like me.

Found a couple other winners too.....

I don't think there's an '80's kid who didn't love the space series from that era.
They will always be the definitive Legos to me.
We didn’t have a lot of disposable income, so I was happy with what I had, which included these:
Probably the biggest set I had growing up. My nephew probably has it in a bucket of random Legos now.

I think this was the first real set I had, certainly the first of the Space series. For whatever reason I associate this one with playing at our basement wet bar while my dad drive to the Pizza Hut 20 minutes away to pick up a pizza.
