He's talking about the tram. Maybe on a big holiday weekend like today but I don't get there that early.

Gondi will be about an hour late today, employees still hanging around.
Got here at 9. Line for the gondola was ridiculous. Decided to get breakfast and coffee. Just now headed up at 11:30. So much for a powder day

Rain crust city. ProTest made it manageable. Top 3rd of NF glades was good, the bottom was interesting. Late start sucked but got 4th bucket. Back home and headed to Seattle for the rest of the weekend. Ran into OldSteve in the tram line. Skied 6 laps with bourbonisgood.
49N: grabby rain crust off-piste, skied better as it got chopped up;
groomers were fast, (if you're into that);
windfogsnowsun, just wait a few minutes .........
.
funny that a majority of the storms this season
funnel right down the Panhandle and dump, just scraps for NEWA;
shoulda gone to Silver for that first gondi
Funny thing out of the first two Gondis most us were already back down before the line was gone, spoiled by yesterday.
We were really pissed off at the conditions. Went inside for an hour or so for lunch and it snowed like a mofo for that time. The runs were way better once they get chopped and got that addition of fresh snow on top. We went into some trees on the ridges around chair 2 and the skiing was great in there lots of powder. Still hard to turn once in a while due to a crust but overall made a shitty day a lot less shitty

Heyo, I'll be driving my RV up your way tomorrow looking for a usable snowpack (and maybe an active-ish looking cycle next week?).
I'm trying to decide what to do for the short term -- looks like schweitzer, silver & lookout are all getting nice little reloads Fri-Sun. Where should I go? I'm leaning towards Lookout but I don't know shit...
If you hit Lookout, hit Silver at the same time. They're only about 20 minutes or so apart. With that said, Lookout is small, relatively flat but receives a fair amount of snow, more than the others around here as a general rule. But I think you might be bored with it after half a day. Silver has more and better terrain. As for Schweitzer, it's been pretty good and is set to reset this weekend. It's the largest of the three, has some okay steep stuff but also flattens on the runouts. The problem is that most of the steeper shots don't yet have enough snow to open. The entire Lakeside Chutes area slid two weeks ago so is very exposed and closed. It's also more expensive than the others. Here's some pics from Schweitzer taken on 12/31.

I may be around skiing Silver Sunday, not sure yet. If I stick around I can show you the mountain if you want.
Awesome thanks dude!
Would it make sense to hit silver/lookout on the weekend & save schweitzer for a weekday?
I'm in a lime green jacket, blue pants, hojis. Ladyfriend is green pants & black/leopard print jacket
Silver will be ski on laps. Schweitzer, not so much.
Weather forecast for this weekend looks a little better for Schweitzer than for Silver. Schweitzer's predicted to only get snow whereas Silver starts with a rain/snow mix before going to snow only. Schweitzer is showing around five inches Fri/Sat, Silver around three. Did Silver get some rain last Friday? We got snow but then got wind-hammered so it was all slabby. Back country is definitely shitty right now, too. We went last Sat afternoon, made about twenty turns and skinned back up. Avalanche scale is at Considerable, too so if you go, go low angle and be safe. I don't know if it will be much better this weekend but we'll probably take a shot out of the gates, if we actually get 5 inches.
Forecast is favoring Schweitzer, silver got a rain crust early sat morning and fucked the new snow.
It makes most sense to hit Silver on Friday, as it's just $15.
^^ This.
Forecasts pulling back. We audibled to the tetons. Thanks for the help, maybe I'll put it to use next week!
Yeah, now we're supposed to have some rain mixing in at Schweitzer, too. Might get a whopping 2 inches out of this. Really weak system. Have a good time in the Tetons.
Went for the jackass day because my girlfriend likes silver. Tons of people who doesn’t belong on ski hill...
Snow was icy just as expected but held edge and she had a good time. Left around 1pm.
She took her kids to mt Spokane for their first ski lesson on Saturday. She said it was busy but sounds like her kids had a good time skiing for the first time.
I can’t wait for the school and snow to restart next week.
