Yep, Presidio. It is a pretty great course, tough but not at all gimmicky. And it's in incredible shape right now, as they're planning to really cash in during U. S. Open week- good for them to step their game up and deliver a good experience for the out-of-towners (who will allegedly be paying $160 for the privilege) instead of just half-assing it.
In all honesty, though, I'd still play there even if it sucked. It's just too convenient for me.

Cart girls. If you aren't super hot, be super sweet. She looks sweet. Played 9 at my favorite course with the wife. Robert Trent Jones design circa 1933. Would you believe a golf course that is cash only? No credit/debit cards accepted. Would you believe $33 for 9 for two with a cart? $40 for 18, for two? The beer cart girl was a cutie but no pictures because 1) no camera and 2) I'm with my wife, you think I'm crazy!!?
BTW, rule about telling what the score is. I don't think that's against the rules.
Here's a doozie that actually happened. Match play. Player A is down 1 to player B with two to play. Both opponents on the green in regulation. Player B lays his bag greenside. Player A has a 20 footer. Player A slams his putt 60 feet past the hole and hits Player B's bag. Result? All even with one to play. Player A wins hole by hitting player B's bag.

To answer your question bluntly: Turn it in and start looking for a good deal on the same club. Maybe you'll get a surprise and find a killer deal. If it's common to keep the club and give the pro shop your number, do that and call it good.

I do believe in some sort of cosmic, or is it comic, resonance coming into motion at times on the golf course. Did you ever notice how some times if you hit into the woods early in a round and it bounces back into the fairway the good breaks continue throughout that round? Conversely, if you find yourself behind a tree/busy early that your ball will find places to hide all day. I've turned in many clubs in my career. This is a first with me. I left a note.
