I’ve mostly been hiking this year and a big takeaway is that a significant number of mountain bikers are loamy assholes. People ride significantly beyond their ability to reasonably slow down and have no consideration for other loam users. If it weren’t for the fact that the a significant majority of groms I come across are super considerate, I might be concerned for our future loam. Selfishly, I also like that they’re the only ones that heed the advice of a loamy old hiker when I tell them they should reverse direction cause the loop is significantly better that way. Adults nod and smile unsignificantly like I’m a senile hobo and continue pushing their bikes up the good loamy DH.

Just for an update, it's quite nice having a next door neighbor who'd be not too far behind Dee and Gunder w/ tools. Though in a broader life sense vs the crazy bike specific collection you guys have.
SLX chainring is held onto the spider by a security Torx T15 and took all of 30 seconds with the right tool, but I have 0 reason to own.
last month my SRAM gear changer started falling off the bar in the p-lot before a ride and suprise all the bolts in the cockpit area I assumed were allen screws are now actualy torx on the SRAM product, fortunately I was able to borrow the right torx but you probably wana check what uses torx on your bike & get your self a multi tool with the right torx bits and its more than you think
Look at the positive side of things here: nobody's going to steal that chainring while you leave your bike unattended for 30 seconds. Or 2 hours.Quote:
