My 185 E110s are pretty ho hum. I don’t hate them and I don’t love them. I recall the tips being kinda “flappy” whilst carrying speed through crud n stuff which is surprising considering I have spoken with others who described them as a “hot knife through butter” in those conditions. I will eventually replace them and the 188 Countach is the likely replacement
In my opinion Rustler 11s are more lively and less settled than Enforcers. R11s to me are a storm snow / soft snow / smooth snow ski (and I absolutely love them in those conditions). Enforcers feel much better in thick warm or refreezing junk snow than Rustlers. Caveat I’ve only tried the E94s, E104s and not the E110s, but the 110s have a reputation for being more damp than E104 right?
Stuntmonkey it sounds like the skis were too small for you!
At your size, go with the Enforcer 110 in a 191. I had a pair as my “skiing with the kids on a powder day” ski. They are great on groomers but are very capable when you get to head off trail. They are damp and some might say “dead” feeling, but they aren’t demanding. I replaced them with a 192 MFree108, which are much more fun but still charge. Gave up some groomer capabilities but gained everywhere else.Quote:

Rustler 11 beta makes me think I need to take a second look. But have also been quite keen to try the hotshot for a while now! It’s definitely an area of the market where there’s a lot to choose from.

Yes. Last year was deep and I didn’t ski these much. This season so far has been ripping groomers only. I had forgotten how good these are for the task, 88 and 94 especially.
I believe I bought all at deep discount from our friend in Billings.

I got the 100 hoping it might be a "poor-man's" Mantra 102. While good it doesn't quite have that magic. I find the Enforcer just slightly planky in comparison. The 94 has plenty of pop.

Other enforcers have dropped a mm ie the 100 is now a 99
Kind of a bummer. I like the 110. They are definitely putting those eggs in the Unleashed basket. I'd like to try out that series. Enforcer Pro still has a cult following. They probably should have kept that ski, but maybe it's not as popular elsewhere as it is out here.
While not as loose, heavy, and semi-chargy as the E110, the Unleashed 108 is a very versatile and fun ski. I can see it being a better seller for a younger demographic than the E110.Quote:

Love this ski, I don't get where some reviews call it a beast, it is the easiest ski of all the ones I own.
Hive mind - would like some opinions on new skis for a E110 appreciator. Some background I'm 5'11" 180lbs, relatively OK skier but not a charger. Ski Whistler around 30 days/year comfortable on most lines other than mandatory airs etc.
Had been on the 2016/17 185 110s for a few years, love them as a great all round ski, smooth and carve well on the piste and are not bad in powder either. Last year I tried two new skis: 182cm M-Free 108s and 183cm J Hotshots. Have been a little underwhelmed by both, the M-Frees are definitely looser in soft snow, but found they float worse and definitely not as damp on the groomers/crud. The hotshots am struggling to get on with, just feel very planky.
So this year am considering either back to a new set of E110s (has the construction changed much?) or possibly the updated Rustler 11s as a dedicated powder ski and then something narrower for harder packed days... All advice appreciated!
So, this is the last year for the Enforcer 110. It goes away next year. Nordica says that it has been updated to the newer E100/E104 construction but not sure how that changes the ski versus what version you are on.
It’s a shame you dismissed the MFree108, because it’s clear you were on the wrong length for your size. The 192 is a different animal. The E110 is better on firm snow, but the 192 MF108 is a better soft snow ski. I sold my 191 E110’s because of my affinity for the big boy MF108. It’s my favorite Blackcomb ski, especially when it’s soft out.
That being said, the E110 really complements a narrower ski in the quiver, as they were intended to be a powder ski that handles resort groomers well.
Have you tried a narrower Enforcer? If you didn’t get on with the Hotshot, I’m reluctant to recommend anything burlier.
Thanks Bandit Man yeah you are totally right I should have got the 192 MFree. I have not tried a narrower enforcer, based on what I've read I think they're probably going to be too stiff for me. Like you say it's the last year for the Enforcer 110 and will probably end up picking up a pair just in case.

I’m having the same debate in my head right now. I really like the masterblaster but looking for something wider in soft snow. I want something in the range of 106-110. Currently debating Hotshot 189, E110 Free 191, and Moment Countach 188. This will be my widest ski. I had the Bent 110 (tour/resort combo) in that slot last year but it got tossed in variable snow/chop, so something with more backbone. I’m 6’5” 200 for reference.

Yeah, I can get the E110 for $700 including shipping from a euro site so that’s intriguing. I just can’t make up my mind. Crossing the Hotshot off the list because this ski will be my widest so it needs to be versatile.
I and a few others (I think @snowmachine) found it took a few days on the Hotshots for the skis to click... took me 3 maybe 4 days, then loved them. But I was tee'd up to catch and release them pretty quick.
FWIW I have a 110Enforcer in a 191 and a 189 Hotshot, I find utility in each to warrant keeping both in the quiver, love them both.
The price tag is steep and I figure they won't make it to the spring sales period, but fanboy'ing over the all black E110's this year, very tempted to grab a pair esp if this is the last run.

Corbetts has the 185cm Enforcer 110 and shorter sizes for $800 CAN/$600ish US with free shipping. No 191cm sizes though.
