We're lucky--our otherwise super shitty cable company does put Jeopardy on the schedule no matter what time it gets bumped to. OTOH I've been spending a lot of time making sure I get the Jan 6 hearings taped. Most often it's the Price is Right plus 3 hours extra.Quote:

I see "Tulnug" in the replay (who uses cursive at all anymore, and especially in the Jeopardy final?)- when I watched it on TV I though she was robbed but I think they made the right call
It’s possible the judges could tell that her pen finished the N after time was up and it’s left off the screen. Although, I think case could be made the last letter is a sloppy n if that wasn’t the case and had finished writing in time. She clearly knew the answer. Just terrible cursive

I'm really annoyed that the contestants have to answer in the form of a question but Mayim doesn't. My recollection is that Alex did and Ken does. Am I wrong?

What was up with the final Jeopardy betting, can't be smart to have enough money to win with the proper betting than to be leading and get it right, then end up with a tie with someone trailing.
Yeah, the wagering in the last few months has at times been baffling, or else I am stupid.
Having both “winners” move on to the next game would totally screw up their system - one of the next contestants who are there sitting in the audience (they tape 5 episodes a day) would miss out. Also, I think doing that, might lead to collusion. Ties have very rarely been a problem, because usually the contestants wager intelligently. However, this season it’s happened twice!
That was the system for years until recently. The current format has only been in place a couple years. Before that there were quite a few tie games w two winners going into the next game. NBD

No speech that the Final Jeopardy questions are randomly selected in advance. The Champion bet based on the 2nd place getting it right and he also answering correctly. As it turns out the 3rd place is the only one to get it right and if the first place had bet nothing or not very much at all could have won based on his lead going in. But at least there was not a tie involved and the Final betting was better than some days.Quote:
