Can't post to Gear Swap

I love forums, I hate post limits. What are forums if not a means for random mofros to get in contact with other mofros? I’ve got a 40 year old motorcycle from Austria, you know how I find people who also have 40 year old motorcycles from Austria? Forums. I frequently catch myself replying to things that are 15 years old with a desperate hope that I’ll catch them (usually doesn’t work) but first I have to populate threads like this to get a few posts before I can get that sweet, sweet information. I’d gladly pay a dollar to show I’m not some POS spammer, and I know they exist, but damn there’s got to be a better way. Either way, happy skiing and happy drinking to all.

I am just an average skier with nothing special to "contribute" or post right away, and want to buy a used pair of skis. Confusingly, it seems I must post to this thread if I wish to PM the seller?

You'd think there could be a better way to prove my worthiness... Alas I do not have 10 different trip reports with photos, on the ready, to post... I am normally an introverted lurker type of person...

second post, look at all this spammy garbage I am posting in this corner of the forum because I can't bear the thought of spamming the actual forum users with my boring life.

How about a third post? Why the requests for sexually explicit photos from 18+ family members before I'm allowed to participate in the gear swap marketplace?

If this was my employer, I'd be permanently shown the door in a hot second.

The rumor seems to be that if I keep posting, maybe I will be allowed to buy something in the gear swap.

I do say, this is perhaps among the top 10 experiences in my life under the category "difficulty in getting anyone to take my money."

Five posts did not unblock me. Maybe 10 will? Do people on this forum want to hear me blab on about my summer adventures last year? It has nothing to do with "ski".
