Nice! Sisters steep chute looking better than it did in June. However, I was able to ski the rocky face skiers left.
Cock rock chute looking...cocky.

Bump for the impending tsnownami.
I almost wish we weren’t getting tonight’s cold storm since it seems likely to ruin any chances of the heavy wet storm sticking to the upper steeps. Skied both sades today and there is some softish stuff in the permashade and some serious boilerplate in the the thaw zones

I love the sound of bombs in the morning. It sounds like . . . victory!
In this case it sounds more like futility. What were they even bombing?

I guess we'll find out in the morning how much SB got. It certainly hasn't impressed down here in Truckee, but it was enough to shut WB 80 a few times, and when I had a peak at a camera it looked like when it was open they just had one lane open climbing out of Truckee. I got about 6 in so far towards the west end of Donner Lk. At the airport hardly any.
how did your pilot handle the snowy landing in your jet?
Super fun morning at Alpine, hunting for and finding long pockets and lanes of 5" deep, and being wary that rock-hard, wind-scoured moguls are hiding just around the corner.
And E M P T Y . Like, one person every 10 chairs on Summit. Killer morning.
wow. all parking gone for Kirkwood on Sunday. Fuck this.
Oh ye complainters. The bombing was not futile and the snow was not too cold and dry to stick. Enough of it that I only hit the occasional bump top and no rocks underneath.

Exactly why I passed on a pass this year, did borrow a friends gold pass today though, was impressed with the current coverage at Kirkwood, skiing was pretty good, new snow was on the denser side
yeah I'm still kind of in shock at being denied. I finally got the green light to go Sunday but it came too late I guess.. Can I park at the Kirkwood Inn? Or in the meadow LOL? :D
I'm with you TahoeBC. I really doubt I'll be buying a Vail pass next year.
Sounds like kirkwood inn is free but requires a reservation

Those are too big for me, however, what's the going rate on old skis? Looking at various places, people seem to be asking quite the premium for models 10 years old or older. Like I found some 2007 Obsetheds for $175. Seems steep for a nearly 20 year old ski. Also are 2021/22 skis cursed due to supply chain issues?
Those are the rules. On that note, I’ll be in Mexico the last week of February so make sure to mark it down for a big snow week in your calendars.Quote:
