JFK was a nepo baby president with an unremarkable record. He might have accomplished more if two shots fired from the Texas School Book Depository by Oswald hadn't ended his presidency, but that's what happened.
JFK was also a WWII war hero and while he was President he used federal power, first used by Eisenhower, to end Jim Crow. All led of course by brave people like Ruby Bridges showing the way for hesitant government officials:

Thank you to Ruby Bridges and her family, to President Eisenhower, to JFK, to Lyndon Johnson who accomplished so much more, and most all to the Civil Rights leaders and activists who fought for freedom and a colorblind America. Even though he only played a small part, his role ending segregation in education & federally protecting the right for all Americans to vote was nonetheless by far and away JFK's greatest accomplishment.
