Here are the 184 K108, 184 V-Werks, and 184 2012 Full Rocker Katana all lined up. The V-Werks and 2012 Katana are nearly identical in terms of mount point.

The 2022 K108 177cm measures ~179.5cm with a flat soft tape run along the base. Pretty much same length as my 180cm Rustler 11. And a tad longer than my Nordica Enforcer 104 Free 179cm.
I'm definitely mounting on the Volkl middle line (+1cm), which measures ~79cm from tail, so I’ll be at -10.7cm or so.
Raw or Gold would fuck.
So the K108s are being mounted….you won’t believe what I am putting on them. Stay tuned.
Apparently I like Volkl now….here is my 11 yr old daughter’s quiver:
148cm Volkl Mantra (118-85-111)
153 cm Volkl Confession (132-100-116)
Both have rec mounts at -5cm (which I think makes sense for kids in Freeride with small bsl). And the Confession is built burly, like an adult ski and is full rocker. Like an old 112mm Katana for 70-80 lb people.
Why didn’t you tell me Volkl made such good skis.

Haha! Bandit Jr had the same two ski quiver back in the day. Same skis with different names. He had a 143/153/163 Shiro Jr (same as Confession Jr) and 138/148 Gotama Jr and 158 Mantra Jr. He loved the full rocker feel in deep snow so much I got him 156/166 Volkl Ones and the 173 adult Shiros. I have some 183 Shiros for him to try this season to complement his 184 M102’s. [emoji6]Quote:

My 11 year old daughter will ski her 148cm Mantra Jrs for the first time tomorrow. She has a small foot at 21.5 mondo.
The wider Volkl Confessions will be under the tree on the 25th. Poor thing as it's supposed to dump at Whistler this weekend. haha.
She can ski double-blacks at Whistler as she has been in full-day, all season ski school since she was 3. Last year (and last weekend) she was on 137cm 4FRNTs (4FRNT Blondies @85mm waist and 4FRNT Coyotes @100mm waist), which both also have pretty forward mounts around -4.5cm.
She skied those well at that forward a mount. She's in Freeride, and not a racer. Early rise in tip and tail is also key. The Mantra is a way better built ski than the 4FRNTs....she busted a piece off the tip of the Coyote which was irritating for re-sale. 4FRNT said too bad she hit a rock.
I think -5cm is perfect for how/where she skis, and for her light weight (75 lbs)) and her small bsl (258mm). I had originally bought her some 148cm Elan Ripstick Jr, but noticed the rec mount was -9.5cm....and lots of camber, minimal tip rise, flat tail....so I sold them and bought Mantra Jrs.
