*That* is the Shizzle. Get it. We need that, and inflatable screen! Get it and I will bow down and take back all of my pussy-faggot remarks and will even sport a U of Michigan Jersey on the slopes...
peace,
D.

Dookey - yes, you can piggyback off of Legoskier's coupon. He's arriving and will be at Roberto's with everyone else on Friday night, so you can figure out logistics there or meet us at the Chair 2 parking lot at about 9am on Saturday morning. Call me, nine oh nine - two oh four - eighteen eighty six.
ok so... on a whim, I'm a late entry for the mini! Leaving Seattle on my moped
in T - 60 minutes:FIREdevil
See you kooks on the hill! (or more likely in the parking lot looking for dirtbag ticket pricing)
As for a screen, I have a 3'x6' white vinyl banner that can be used. Not huge, or a cool as the Mickey version, but will do in a pinch.
Damn, looks like this movie thing is happening. How we gonna manage audio? Those projector-speakers are teh lame. Anyone have an MP3 port in their car stereo? We can run the audio out from the DVD player to the MP3 port with an RCA->3.5mm stereo or just a 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo ... both of these types of cables can be cannibalized from most computer speakers.
The real controversy is how we're going to pick what to watch?
winner of a Chinese Downhill chooses?
I'll throw a couple choice DVDs, along with Holy Grail in the bag (because hutash can't seem to stop with the Monty Python quotes lately) just in case.
Damn.. with movies and stereo sound, this camping thing is going to rule. Too bad, I'm going to miss it. Schralp, you going to have enough legs for BC at Lassen next WE?
movies?
generators?
man, THAT IS NOT CAMPING.
we're supposed to be getting in tune with nature, not bringing civilization along with us.
therefore I vote for the following films:
The Great Outdoors
Deliverance
Swiss Family Robinson
Surviving The Game
The Wilderness Family
Grizzly Adams
or any number of Disney films that feature some old guy narrating a psuedo-documentary featuring precocious animals on crazy adventures.
so excited. leaving for the airport in about 30. :)
Gone in 2 hours. See you bitches on the hill:)
I am outta here, heading home, pack, and then up the 395...me and the pup will be at FKNA right around dusk.
peace,
D.
Movies, how about....
Hot Dog
Steep
The Big Lebowski
Viva and I are here at the Looney Bin coffee house in Mammoth...hanging out, talking about Ouchie the dominatrix clown. Don't ask.
Looking forward to Petra's tonight.
Got a call from atomicboy...sounds like Paranoids are going off, if I heard him correctly. Anyhow, he sounded stoked. :)
Actually, it's Ouchy:

:)
All signs appear to be pointing to this being a classic. Looking forward to daily reports from Maggot Beach and the results of the Twins/MTT ski-off
StroupSkier and I are chilling out at the Condo right now, is Petra's for dinner, or drinks?
OK, here's a first-hand report on Fort FKNA. I'll repost this in the camping thread too.
There is snow at Fort FKNA, but the campsite itself is clear. McPoser will find it quite challenging to drive a car up to the campsite this time around. You hear that, a challenge?
You can walk on the snow without post-holing, even in sneakers. Its quite firm, but not firm enough to drive on.
I've attached a small white paper "FKNA" sign to the roadside marker at the point. Be careful driving back to where people have parked - there are some stumps that are tall enough to snag a lower vehicle.
Renoenvy is there and he already stopped and got a permit, so no problems with johnny law.
Bring a footprint for your tent. Its clear of snow, but the ground is still moist in spots.
Bring some big shovels so we can build some sort of stupid ski stunt jump/rail/something. There's a nice slope right behind the campsite with lots of snow.
Off to meet folks at Petra's now, I guess.
My Mini experience so far:
I am DiveGirl's daddy.
Trayc and Al Sharpton? Oh, the possibilities!
TWINS's new look reminds me of the dude from the Verizon commercial- "Can you hear me now?" (You're still a stud-muffin, BTW.)
Nice hair, TurkSki.
Beer followed by wine followed by more wine somewhere else followed by more wine somewhere else probably wasn't the most prudent thing I could have done this during this Summit.
Was finally able to get out of bed at 1:00PM today.
Ibuprofin is not overrated.
Made it to chair 2 15 minutes before they shut down and was able to poach a couple of runs.
I have a big butt and, aparently, look gay in tight ski pants. Thanks anyway, Yoga.
I owe Bodhi a phone call.
Roberto's in 2 hours. Good I'm gittin' hungry.
Naked Ski off?!
I'll post more important updates later.
