It kills me that in *this thread* there’s a huge debate over spending $25 on a syringe.

Just pop a small section bead and pour it in. I find this whole squirting through the valve stem mystifying
Maybe I’m stupid

So you're buying your sealant in 2oz bottles?
Let's see, a 2oz squeeze bottle of Stans = $3.50
A quart (32oz) of Stans = $34
16 2oz bottles X $3.50 = $56
$56 - $34 = very close to the price of the Park injector (which is far easier to use than the 2oz bottle)
Math is cool
Added bonus for those who care, you're not tossing two plastic bottles with each refill.
And yes, I do carry a 2oz in my pack for emergencies.
Maybe I misunderstood. The post I quoted said to just use the squeeze bottles instead of an injector. I assumed that meant he was using squeeze bottles to refill his sealant.
IMO pouring sealant from a qt to the little 2oz bottles is a mess waiting to happen.
In the context of mountain biking, is $25 really that expensive?
I find it fucking hilarious that someone over in the other thread found the same fucking syringe that Park sells for $25 at Kroger for $7. "BUT IT'S BLUE!!!!!!!11!!!"

Cool. Buy a fancy syringe if you need to. I think my old 2oz squeeze bottle thing is at least 10 years old. I mighta bought a syringe 10 years ago if I was just starting out. And if I knew where a Kroger was.
if yer worried about a spill just ask your mom to help you
btw if i need to fill small bottles or a syringe I use this other handy tool called
a funnel
Hey guys, knock yourselves out.
I live in New Mexico. I have to refill my sealant several times per season in each bike. $25 for a really well designed tool that makes that chore far easier is a bargain to me.
Pour from at bottle directly into tire. Re-inflate

Haven't we beaten this dead horse enough by now? It's putting sealant into a fucking tire. Pick your preferred way and let's move on...
But think of how much sealant you could inject into the dead horse with the Park syringe. That horse would be air tight.

^^^ lol
I used to use syringes. Bought some 60ml plastic squeeze bottles from AliExpress last year and have used them ever since. Easier, faster, less mess while filling and injecting. Plus you can travel with them pre-filled or carry in your backpack if you're into that sort of thing. I marked one bottle with 40/50/60ml lines for quick measuring.
We’re arguing about whether it’s worth spending $25 for a better tubeless syringe. Meanwhile people are convinced that a $1000 titanium crankset is life changing.
This place is FKNA awesome.

What size tap do I want to remove pedal bushings? I measure my inboard bushings to be 10.25mm ID. I assume I want to size up slightly (11mm?), and can't decide if I want a short or long thread pitch. My guess is long to spread out the bite cuts into the soft material, like a wood screw. Plug style I figured out.
Pedal bushings?
Ahhh, gotcha.
If you find yourself with a new fork but not a socket or wrench that fits its top caps, this guy on ebay has a few combo box end wrenches for less than the cost of many single sockets.

Am I ridiculous for coveting a set of Whia/Bondus colored hex wrenches for $35-40 bucks? There's a real devil/angel thing going on in my head on whether this is a worthy self reward for nothing in particular other than not killing anyone or otherwise destroying my fragile life.
Go to Wera Hex Plus and thank us later.
I spent big $ on PB Swiss only to find out that Wera is even nicer, so I had to get those too.
Would be nice to have something like that Wera set, but I'd lose it for sure, probably within days.
You have my attention. Specifics?

yea, I just watched a 15 min video on hex wrenches.
I already have a gold Bodus set that has noticeably better tolerance than my cheaper stuff from Spin Doctor, Park, and Husky.
The fasteners I find the most vulnerable are A) Anything from Kind Shock. Worst bolt tolerances ever. Terrified to use with a cheap hex wrench. B). Little fuckers on clamp-on grips. I've had to dremel a couple of these off because they strip so easily. I guess the question is, would the Hex-Plus be less likely to strip a bolt, or would a wrench with better tolerances?
Yes, the hex plus work better on shitty low tolerance bolts. However, if they're already somewhat stripped from a crappy wrench, they can still round out (BTDT).
I got the Wera mini ratchet along with the bike allen wrench set because it has a bunch of the hex plus bits. I use them with my torque wrench instead of whatever crappy bits came with it. The mini ratchet is nice for tight access stuff, like the rear shock bolt on Spec yokes or water bottles.
Wear hex plus are awesome. I wish they made a 4-5-6 one like park but with good quality.
