This is probably my favorite Charley song. When he played it for us here at the Soundwell back in June '21 (first big artist to come play here post pandemic) it had not even been out for a week yet but the sellout crowd already knew every word and sang it along with him. When he was done, he commented "Damn Salt Lake, I just learned that song 3 days ago and y'll already know it better than me!" Made me proud of the crowd :)

A couple of years ago AA put out 2 volumes of covers of BJ's favorite older, country songs. Being used to his band's normal sound, I was a little skeptical at first. All it took was driving across the middle of Nevada in the dead of winter with Volume 1 on repeat and I was hooked. They are both great top to bottom and very much worth a listen/purchase if you haven't heard them! May bring back some fond memories for us older folk ;) Hard to pick a favorite so this will have to do; it's on you Cats to check out the rest and pick your own ;)

You should be FUCKING STOKED not just "pretty stoked" ;) Seriously thought about getting tix for that, but I saw TT at one of their first shows post-hiatus back in Dec '22 at the Brooklyn Bowl for the Hooey Fest on National Rodeo Finals Weekend in Vegas. I met people from all over the country; they flew in from everywhere just for that show. They played every song a fan would want to hear except "Wrecked". Google that setlist; it will blow your mind. One of the best, most fun nights of my life and don't want to do anything to tarnish those memories! Super hot cowgirls everywhere :fmicon: Didn't get to bed till well past 4am ;) Also, saw them at the same event 4 years earlier when Evan was hooking up with Miranda and about to go off the rails ..... that night's a story for another time .....Quote:

Blue Moon is by far his best album. Only the Lonely, Lucky Me, Does that Blue Moon Ever Shine on You, Closing Time At Home, are all proper sad country songs. Sure the whole album has the 90s mainstream Nashville production, but there is a proper steel guitar shining through most of the album.
