Great ride last night with our Utarded friend in town! Eastcoast style. Heavy rains during the day stopped just in time and this new zone drains incredibly well. Stoked to clean some lines that I hadn't yet...techy shit, so learning the line is critical.
Shotgun sound when my friends sidewall was shredded by some granite!

fun ride at Dodge Hill at the Moore Dam between vermont and new hampshire. only 3.7 mile one way(7.2 round trip) but a great mix of really fast and flowly with some really technical bits as well.

This is a pic taken in my backyard trail network. The trails keep you busy. Techy enough, flowy enough, and busy enough where it can be tough to grab bottle for a drink.

Was weird this morning, the woods were "spooky," all misty and everything was creaking. The rocks and roots were sweating and the undergrowth needs a trim back so you can see the ground ground in a lot of spots. Tough ride...

There is kind of a brutal compression/hole at the bottom of the initial drop then you hit the rock. My first time down I went to far lookers left...with no speed and ova the bars I went. Second time down I took this similar line...which was mo betta for me.

Bummed I missed this this. My wife ran a 29.5 mile ultra on Saturday in Bear Brook and I signed up as a mtn bike marshal. I picked up course markings and did sweep all day. I rode the whole 29.5 fun day with no real agenda and food and drink and the aid stations.Quote:

Had the scythe out in the fells today, a thorn narrowed passage is now clearer. I tried to make sure no thorns were left in the track..but vigilance is only as good as the light...it was just about sundown when I packed up and walked back to the car. sliced a hornets nest open...the residents were none too happy, but they were confused and I was lucky.

Oh man, what am I ridin into.... Mid gap and flash bulbs start popping. I was looking for a high five, a red bull to slam, or some entourage femmes to stop and chat, instead just some sweaty dudes, but after review in the lot, Matt got a pretty good shot of me mid-flow trail. I'll share it if it turns up in my in box. Northfield trails are mid summer perfect right now. 2-3 hours depending. 10-15 miles 2000kish vert. Sundays at 10 has been my window from the Shaw Center lot.

We decided to do some powdah turns over at Stratham Hill for the first time this year. It was a nice change from the techy new stuff we've been riding. But holy shit they have clear cut the hell out of the place! :eek: We were told that there is some bug attacking the trees.
I searched and came up with nothing specific for Stratham, but the Emerald Ash borer is listed in NH as an invasive little fucker. The trails for the most part are ok...some skidder tracks here and there, and one of the newer trails is toast. They can all be revived, but just not the same without 'that' big tree 'there' and the other one 'here', etc. Ahh, nothing we can do about it. The other thing is that it potentially opens up new lines to be made...if they let it happen.

That was my local loop before moving out to JXN. They had just started cutting before I left but I hear it's on a massive scale now. Shit to hear. Is the berm I built at the bottom of the DH before you cross the rock wall ridden in yet?Quote:

Yup that one. Should be anchored with some rocks in the back. That's my favorite stretch to blast down, and both the options coming Into that stretch are rad. Not sure if I've cleaned that climb you're talking about or not.Quote:
