We decided to do some powdah turns over at Stratham Hill for the first time this year. It was a nice change from the techy new stuff we've been riding. But holy shit they have clear cut the hell out of the place! We were told that there is some bug attacking the trees.
I searched and came up with nothing specific for Stratham, but the Emerald Ash borer is listed in NH as an invasive little fucker. The trails for the most part are ok...some skidder tracks here and there, and one of the newer trails is toast. They can all be revived, but just not the same without 'that' big tree 'there' and the other one 'here', etc. Ahh, nothing we can do about it. The other thing is that it potentially opens up new lines to be made...if they let it happen.
This was new to us also...little wooden bridgeway via awesome iphone pic :fmicon:
