Anyone be up Fri?
Orange shell, green bros mounted tele.
Should be deep this weekend somewhere. I am leaving the state for two days, therefore it will snow.
anyone ski today?
worth heading up tomorrow (Fri)?
LL was nice today. Stuff out gate 2 south and gate 3 north particularly so. The few inches during the day softened things up nicely and wind was minimal.
Today was ok but nothing special by anymeans. Maybe because I didn't get there till 1ish. Not sure what the weather is going to do tonigh but what I saw today definately is not worth the drive again tomorrow.
Hey Luke, I'll be up at A-Basin tomorrow.... dont' know if you have a pass, but if you do, come on over.
I can only get you a $45 pass, which probably isn't enough to get you to drive over the pass.
I'll be at Loveland on Saturday though.
Understandable.
And no, they're not what you're thinking. Mostly cuz I needed sleep and to finish my practice MCAT.

On a more related note: go ski A-Basin Saturday if you're not too cool for school. It's the new hawtness.
Have yet to use my 4 pass this season so I'll be heading up Sat. trying to get away from the crowd (yeah right) Black mountain hardwear jacket, Blue Smith Goggles, Gots or Praxis.
we'll be up there sunday. chinese new year's dealie tomorrow.
Anybody going to be up there tmw (saturday) morning? Going to ski from 9-1pm. Hoping to avoid the president weekend 5-mountain crowds. Will be wearing bright green pants, white jacket and skiing legend pros.
Edited as am now not going to be there tmw morning - my g/f doesn't have a loveland pass and wants to ski. Now heading to A-Basin. Hope to ski loveland one of these days though.
The Ridge was good today. Lots of soft windblown this morning. I set off a pretty good sluffalanche, lookers left of the lift. 4" crown, about 15' wide and 100+' path. Freaked me out for an instant.
Should be up there tomorrow. Ask for change.
See you on the Ridge in a while, phishy... Hopefully that sluffalanche doesn't cause closures.
Saw phish there for a couple runs. He and Seb looked right through me. :( Good seeing that baller style anyway, sir.
Snow was VERY grabby today. I had a fantastic day and got some monkeys off my back and got the privilege of shooting Marshal for a run.

Then some crazy dood decided to huck Crack Rock twice. And beater. Twice. Maybe not the best of ideas. At any rate, I got to shoot the second time. :)
All is well for the first few frames. And then it goes bad...

nice pics max.
did you know who the guy jumping crack rock was?
The jumper is my buddy Bill. He is a very dedicated skier, and will huck almost anything whether its a good idea or not. I use him as a crash test dummy. "Hey Bill, check out that drop. Yeah, it looks like a good landing. Go for it!" Carnage often follows, sometimes he lands it, and he always has a smile on his face after.
Injuries are the fucking worst.
Good pics Max! Looks like you're getting the exposure right, good stuff!
