I missed this shot the first go around. If this contest is over I hope you were at the top. That is an awesome image! Nice work!

Not really an epic shot, but seems appropriate for today. Me in the middle.

I'm lovin the eagle shots mtcham. Here are a few from the past couple weeks.
One of my favorite lines in the Front Range (left of the summit), looking thin.

My eagle photos can't compare to mtcham's, but I got a few decent ones today on the Skagit River.

some shots from today - no real time to post-process. Pretty much straight off the camera with a quick contrast curve.
I know how much splitter loves my self portraits ;). But hey, when you can be narcissistic and shoot yourself, why not? :)

Oh yeah, I saw this today before firing up my MSR reactor and having dinner in a little park just a few hours from my house.http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7164/6...eec4b68b_b.jpg

I don't mind self portraits, I really like your dana plateau one.
This one is sick. Like Fuzz, I wish the sky was a little cooler, but gives a nice sense of scale

Well, to be fair, the Dana Plateau jump kick was shot by another Chad (Ottime), but I did dial in the exposure settings before handing off to him :)
Yeah, unfortunately a thin cloud layer came in late morning, which got backlit when I shot that image. I think this comp will work really well when backlit on a clear late afternoon, by really defining the shape of Taft Point and the person on the diving board. El Cap will look cool with only the left 10% lit up too. Then again first rays of sunrise coming from the right could be sweet too. The sweet thing about that cloud veil though - about an hour later, the sun dropped below it and lit the high country up like a mofo!
By the way, I really like the contrasts in that b&w cascade. Very cool light, gonna look on my good monitor soon!
