Reminds me. I saw a lavender colored McLaren in the big city yesterday. No clue on model, I don't follow supercar culture at all. It was an awesome color.

Got to see this Singer in the wild today and it was nothing short of fucking art.
The in-dash Heuer chronograph is *kiss* so choice.

There are McLarens, like you can go to a dealership and pick a nice color 570s and be on your way. It will go 204mph. (They are a dime a dozen at PC cars and coffee, same with Porsche gt3 etc ). They are cool. But don't really do it for me.
And there is the McLaren F1. In 1993 it hit 240mph. Designed as a road car, it won the 24 hours of lemans outright in 1995 beating factory team prototype race cars.
They only made 106 of them. It wasnt just better than everything else, it blew everything else out of the water.

You'll love it. Very good. The library section was closed when we were there, but is supposedly very good as well.
The next time I have the misfortune of going to Naples, we'll go back. Place is cool.Attachment 456111Attachment 456112Attachment 456113Attachment 456114
And, the car pictured above appears to be HDK 018 and is arguably the best road-going version of the F1 ever made.
When the F1 came out I remember reading an industry magazine article on the car and estimates for repairs. At a time when common OEM exhaust systems were ~$500, the F1's was ~$14,000.
Don’t ignore the (very much functional) gold foil lined engine bay:

Teenage me had a poster of one of those on my wall.
Here are all the pics i took of the F1.
Registration appears to be current through June 2023.

Not a bad week for P-car spotting round here. First the Atlanta Commission Singer now a Martini-liveried Weissach Edition 918 on the commute home.

Yo Bobby Stainless, what are we looking at for a price on this thing? $1.5MM?
I fell into the well again, and the auction for the other street f1 to F1LM conversion mentioned the recent >$80k service at 6000km as a selling point. Nautical levels of $ burning
Its crazy this golden age of hypercars now when you see a 918 on the street vs bitd McLaren struggled to move 60 street versions of the F1
You’re not wrong. ATL is home to one of the biggest cars and coffee events (Caffeine and Octane) and it’s even live televised on Motor Trend, so the level of supercars has never been a surprise.
It’s when you see them out and about like it’s nothing that really knocks your socks off.
For every broke ass aspiring rap star driving a clapped out leased Rolls there’s a one-off Ferrari 812 Superfast.
Or as I saw today, a nearly $2MM 918 Hypercar just heading towards Chick Fil -A
The adage is true sometimes: Atlanta is not a real place
When I was rontele I delivered pizza to a guy who put the boxes on the wing of a 956, because I guess it was the lesser of vehicles in the shop at the time. The 959s were still questionable, but that’s an outlier. There’s just so damn many sales now, when bitd the only one to break 1k was the f40
I showed my boy Ford vs Ferrari this past year. He asked. Well, who beat Ford?
Porsche, son.
Another reason to dislike Patrick Reed.
He or someone he allowed to drive this stunning Masters-themed GT2 RS completely binned it with less than 500 miles on the clock.
Fucking idiot.

Second best looking BMW ever
Lots of interesting Pcar news this week.
Jerry Seinfeld added to his impressive Porsche collection by buying the $1.3M 996 Classic Club Coupe (1 off done by Porsche Special Projects and PCA) at Porsche's 75th anniversary bash in ATL earlier this month; definitely one of the coolest 996s ever.

And Singer has a new DLS Turbo; the 934/5 (needs to be in Jägermeister livery though)

Nice. How do like that Bilstein? kit you put on?
Spied this slick 240sx todayAttachment 464760
I LOVE IT! It's an excellent balance between performance and comfort. My wife would say it is stiff, but it is more compliant than the konis on my 540i were, and way better than the Bilstein h and r on my other 540i were. It's just a joy to drive everyday, and handles great. I really like it.
I've had mixed success with Bilstein and generally preferred konis, but this setup is really nice.
That’s Sharp.
I’ll never forget my best friend’s girlfriend in high school got a brand new gold 240sx (manual) for her graduation present. Zero clue what it was or what it would become regarded as, us guys had an inkling and loved hooning it whenever my bud would relieve her of it for a while.
Can your Taycan do a kickflip?
Honestly, I have lots of questions and I’m not seeing shit on google.

If anyone is paying attention to Goodwood Festival of Feed there’s been just some absolute straight car porn going on there right now. Top Gear’s social feeds and Chris Harris have had great coverage. I’ve got to get to there one year.
My first car was an 81 Datsun 200SX 5spd. I had that car built for SCCA rallying and NESCC hill climbs. That thing was a fucking hoot!! I came in 4th in the Killington hill climb :) Put an awful hurt on the thing but came back 2 weeks later to win a Rt 100 South to North rally. When the 82 200 turbo came out I wanted one bad until I wiped a few of them up at Lime Rock
Other than being the wrong color this is pretty much the car I've dreamed of seeing in my driveway since I was 6 (when the car was new). https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ibextid=dXMIcH
I'll take a 4.2 convertible in BRG. Surprised you're not shell shocked from your last British experience.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f0370e48f0.jpg
Heh, no quite the opposite. I feel like I have a score to settle. I'm determined now to have a good Brit car :) Two of my top 3 wants are Brit, MGB GT (or Triumph GT6), E Type FHC 4.2 4 speed and a Volvo 1800ES 4spd w/OD.
I feel like a 2002 needs to be in there.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5dfe79d565.jpg
Sort of. I did a round trip from Steamboat to AK in my roomies 71 2002 in 1989 and another 10k before and after. It was an alright little car but no matter how I tried I couldn't get past it's simple, pedestrian platform. Now, the 6.3 CSi or Alpina is another story but if I could it would have to be a 507,the best looking BMW ever.
I bet this is pretty quick
