I agree and would probably make the right turn around the first car, I think it is an illegal maneuver as there is no separate turning lane to the right of the first car. Can’t get too wound up if the second car is just following the law.

Turns out the sensor was fucked and the light skips our "go straight" signal for 3 cycles. So I change my mind, pull in my mirror in and squeak by. How about people leaving a parking lot with a nice wide exit--people who want to turn left out of the lot but from as far right as possible so you can't exit right until they go. Or at a side street with a stop sign--they could be towards the left and leave plenty of room for a car to turn into the street and for a car behind them to turn right.

Re right turn on red--there are a couple of places in Truckee where people like to right on red onto a road (267) with a 55MPH speed limit. People have no clue how to judge safe distance of cars going that speed. When I approach that intersection I'm prepared to slam on the brakes and a couple of times I barely slowed enough in time. Right on red should be banned on an intersection like that.
