Is anyone interested in meeting up at SSV this Sunday and Monday for some spring skiing? I still have 2 passes left over that someone gave me, and my buddy bailed on me, so I can go two days.
Was on Moraine Lake Road last night. Plowed about 9k up but the last 2km plowed has a nice layer of ice underneath and had to walk my bike a few parts. Plow was stopped right at the end and I hear they were doing some avy control at like 7am today so maybe they got It plowed will know more tonight.
Anyone keen on some late season touring I'm ready to go any day. Preferably Lake Louise area.

Nice Skian_. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about the avalanche in bow summit area 2 days or so ago. Ski tracks going in and none coming out. Just hoping everyone was alright.

Yeah, that crash was fucked but I'm alright. No lasting damage other than to my helmet and spine pad, both of which are now garbage. Not an experience I'd ever like to repeat though.Quote:

Bit o luck involved there! Whew! Lucked out when we skied it. Fresh dynafit mount with not enough forward pressure. First jump turn heels popped out and on landing toes poppies off. It was thigh deep and managed to grab both skis. Clicked back in and locked my toes(always have them locked since). The next 8 turns heels would pop and engage on landing until I got to my buddy with a Swiss army(tech atleast mounted them straight). Thigh deep and super stable. Didn't want to waste that.
