Because he wanted to watch him die?
at eastertime too?
Is it ever going to snow again out here?
No snow either here in the Toronto area. Grounds not even really frozen yet. Wettest December on record.
Not really a question, but didn't know where else to put it. It struck me that New Jersey is the only U.S. state beginning with "New" where that word is often dropped (i.e. the state is often referred to as just "Jersey"). No one says just York, Mexico, or Hampshire that I'm aware of. Just sort of odd.
Need a good robe. I can’t find a thread here so obviously I can’t get a new one until I hear everyone’s opinion on who makes the best one. I mean it’s tradition here guys. Maybe I’ll definitely smoke some weed now and then make another old person thread later. Cause we got old(er).
And I still need slippers….
The Iroquois in Manhattan has robes in the rooms, you can use them while you’re there and buy them when you leave. Really nice. Probably pricey. Frette Robes
I'm a huge fan of Onsen for bath towels - Japanese style waffle towels are quick drying and very comfortable, and I would 100% buy this robe if I was in the market:

I'm strangely into vintage 80s Pierre cardin. Some legit pimp robes and pj's
My wife has a waffle from Brooklinen. She likes it.
LL Bean robes are nice durable heavyweight terry cloth. Def worth considering
TGR branded robes. LDO
There is no such thing as a generic bathrobe. You have to have a quiver. At least one fleece, one heavy cotton terry for after spa or shower, a waffle style for warmer weather after spa or just walking around. Then there's the question of whether you cook breakfast in your robe, in which case shorter sleeves are a must. And then for hot weather a sarong is nice. So the question Buzz is what kind of robe are you looking for. (Note--when you retire you can get rid of your ties==except one for funerals-- and button down shirts but you will need to invest in more bathrobes.)
https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...ighlight=robes is one that you could take a look at and bump if needed instead of random thread you posted in.

We want to see the silk Hugh Hefner robe that's in the back of your closet
hugh conway matters
No silk robe alas. I do have a Japanese robe my wife brought back from Japan but it's only cotton. The way I got my first sarong was--I was in CA interviewing and staying at my cousin's house. Sitting around the pool with one of her girlfriends I commented on her sarong. She said a friend had brought back a bunch of them from Fiji. She asked me if I would like it and took it off and gave it to me. She wasn't wearing anything else. I decided I like California.
I worked with a guy who spent time in Papua New Guinea in the 80’s. He also praised a sarong he brought back with him. Wearing it commando. While riding his motorcycle sometimes. I like your memory of the sarong better.

And the taking out the garbage robes. You need three of these for different times of year. They should be different patterns and opposing colors from your pajama pants because the neighbors love that shit.
What's wrong with shopping in your boxer shorts. Worked for my cousin's first husband, at least before rehab.
Reading the first pages of the Taos thread, " splats book is mentioned. What is this book? Tia
