Why isn't jicama more popular than it is?
Mmmm….Jicama slaw for fish tacos.

I need to explore the world of jicama more thoroughly apparently.
It's spelled Tagovialoa, but every sports announcer says "Tungo-viol-ia" So for those here who speak Samoan, is it pronounced as it's spelled or the latter?
Tug-uh-vi-loa.

Why is Favre pronounced Farve?
Why is Erdogan pronounced Erdowan?
Why do people insist on accenting the first syllable of Ukraine?
Is the poop deck what I think it is?
Is it ok to be happy when the parody thread lands next to the original thread?
Who will admit to not knowing how to drive a stick?
Microsoft Word:
Inserting the "paragraph" symbol. Why is it so many steps to get this? "Insert/Symbol/More Symbols/Special characters"? Like, isn't it one of the more common symbols, such that you shouldn't have to select "more" to see the extra ones, and even then select "special characters"? And why does it not have a shortcut either?
Am I just doing it wrong, is there an easier way? Or are lawyers the only ones who use it, and we're such a small subset that it deserves to be way more hidden than, for ex, the greek letter beta?
Lawyers use it. But only when in edit mode.
It is helpful for proper formatting. Seeing tabs, spaces, carriage returns (insert flashback DING! Hunter Thompson) is useful.
Who the fuck inserts a paragraph symbol for final print?
In the past you have claimed to be a lawyer (or at least having gone to law school, can't recall if you asserted that you practiced), either that was a lie or you are an absolutely abysmal one (no joke, not like the guys who decide someone's a bad lawyer because they post something stupid). Because there is not a lawyer alive who doesn't understand why you might use the paragraph symbol in documents.
And no, I am not talking about seeing the symbols on the screen for editing, that is an entirely different thing. I am talking about placing the symbol as a piece of text.
¶ My absolutely lazy method when I have characters I need to use repeatedly is to put them in another window and copy-paste as needed.
¶ Paragraphs are an easy alt code though. Hold left alt, then type 20 on the num pad.
¶ Like this.
I often used the silcrow whilst at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher and Flom.
I cannot recall using the Pilcrow. But I wasn’t a litigator. So ymmv.
Danno, similar to Abraham's approach. Look into Word for a function that I think was called easy text (it's been a long time).
Many years ago, our Audit team used this. I remember codes and then F2 (or similar). You could have this created and shared amongst a team for creating report writing templates (in our case).
B101,F2 might produce and entire paragraph on unprotected passwords.
I'd think something like this could be used for the simple paragraph symbol up to larger, commonly used text.
