Woah ....... waaaay too many lessons to keep track of there.
When it gets really icy around here I have some rubber cleats that have short maybe 1 mm dia blunt tipped pins that do a very good job on level and gently sloping ice. Not nearly as aggressive as the ones pictured. They're for sidewalks, roads, etc, not trails. Unfortunately my wife got them at the thrift and there's no name on them. Sorry.
I've had good luck with ones that are just chains on the bottom and rubber ones with wire spiral wrapped around the rubber.
For icy ski area parking lots skitrax, made by yaktrax, are great. Cheaper than replacing worn out heel and toe lugs, better traction, rockered sole makes it easier to walk.
I can't imagine someone posting on this subject even just 10 years ago not being flamed into deleting the post.
What kind of tennis balls do y’all prefer on your walker legs?
:fmicon:
Hey, OG asked for it.

Dougal Haston--the greatest ice climber of his generation, soloed Eiger north face in the winter, broke his leg slipping on the icy front steps of his house.
Pfft. Didn't Iceman slip and fall on his front porch last year?
Didn't need to solo the Eiger either.
Fuck I could watch people falling on ice all day. I don’t give a shit about people.
That was just his cover story

We seem to only attract disenfranchised millennials.
Is that what Andrew was?
I was shocked to find someone this week say they were approaching 70.
Congrats on keeping it hip with the kids on the internets old man, whoever you were.
and we are happy you’re here
Are they from the south?
