Vail got hammered hard at 4-5p+. Things went bad really quick, whiteout conditions and a number of wrecks. Got to Avon and it was cleared up. Still 10 min drive took 30min.
Yeah it was crazy for an hour then cleared out, still really warm out and snowing pretty lightly.

Radar looks like there is more streaming in out west. Pass may not open all night. Down Junction EB now closed due to WV accident.
Pass has been closed more than it's been open lately. Those guys are working their tails off. Vibes to those guys and tow drivers and police.... I'm sure those guys are ready for some sun.
No doubt. If they only had to deal with conditions with people prepared to drive in this, it would still be quite the challenge. But we've addressed that ad nauseam already.

Made it Golden to Beaver Creek in about 2.5 hours Saturday morning breaking every rule by leaving at 7 on a Saturday during a holiday weekend.
Just made it back BC to Golden in 2:15 leaving at 3:15.
No idea how this was possible, but I'd like to thank the Clemson football team.
