Poor west coastas don't even know that so many of the other NE beers posted are so much better than Heady. Spoiled lot we are
Yeah but it’s kinda like Pliney...you’ve got to at least try it.
You mean "trendy lot we are"
Yeah they call me Mr Trendy
I figured out a use for the can holders. Cut em apart and use em for mixing ski epoxy then put them in the recycling. Reuse once.

I don’t think you hate me. I think you hate you.
Yeah, it's become trendy, but I really fucking enjoy these "trendy" beers and have for quite some time like a lot of the EC maggots. So with that said, us dirtbags have actually started the trend, so we're not trendy, we're fucking trend setters. [emoji41][emoji2] ... after CA starts it all with Pliny of course. We've just perfected it.

Lamplighter appears to be still trying to find the right recipe on this one. This my third round and each has been distinctly different. Unfortunately, the first was the best. This is somewhat abrasive with a strange maltiness
I think the argument for the very tasty high ibu west coast DIPA started with Pizza Port in solano beach. They arrived, little known, to the DIPA "contest" in the Bay Area in the early 2000's and demonstrated how to do it right. Russian river and all the others (including stone, though stone and pizza port are close friends) followed suit. Pliny the younger is usually more highly regarded than the elder, btw.
There's a dude that owns a bottle shop/beer bar somewhere in San Leandro and another in NH or VT that is cross pollinating a fair bit in distributing the styles.
Another amazing IPA style that I have not seen discussed in this thread is the cask-style IPAs of england and Scotland. My wife and I spent several weeks cruising around with photocopied pages of a recent cambra guide about 15 years ago. Our time in Scotland coincided with the annual Scotland cambra IPA contest and we were lucky enough to enjoy several fresh pulls of the top 5 or so ales. That's some amazing shit, and very different from the style found around these parts.
Yea, it isnt good
The new release of Pieces of 8, I had from Foley Bros tonight was a straight up, mango bomb. So tasty. How do they do that? The tropical fruit with just a hint of bitterness is the future. What a time to be alive.
The trend

Good riddance-> Ninkasi sucks!
I'll send you a replacement if ya want. Good excuse to give em yet another seemingly endless chance at impressing me with a quality brew! [emoji12]
Edit- just saw that the beer went with it and that was the actual loss. Faux pas. Anyhow sorry man. Total bummer. I blame Ninkasi.
Having worked at a bottle shop and beer bar I have a ton of pint glasses. I’m all set there. Need a couple more worthy glasses...
Edit: yeah wasted beer, broken glass and a fkn mess. Wife was happy
Worthy from Bend?
Look at MPPG’s glass
Check the spare
