I like ND beating Georgia. I think BSU gives Penn State a run for their money but Penn St’s defense will be just a hair too much, with their offense now firing pretty well. And I think who ever wins the Rose Bowl wins the championship.

It’s almost like they were within three points of an undefeated season to the #1, conference champs, and had the Heisman runner up. Let me bask for a moment then I’ll see you guys in another 10 years or so.

And we’re already planning who will be on watch for certain BSU friends and what to do for fallout/plan B New Year’s party festivities out of an abundance of caution…or just reality. But one can hope.

Nah. Then regular season doesn’t mean much—all perception. And we know from prior BCS that it can be questionable judgement.

EG: Is Bama one of the best 8? On some days, definitely. On others, definitely not. Same with Oregon, tOSU, Penn St, etc. Record has to be a big factor for overall consistency.

Syracuse was playing with a lot of defensive starters out too. Luckily they almost everyone on offense

Saw this stat on McCord..... let's not put him on too high of a pedestal.

Kyle McCord had a better YPA (by a full yard), better TD/INT ratio, and better QBR at Ohio State.

The difference is he threw it 348 times in 2023
He threw it 598 times in 2024

Syracuse played exactly zero top 50 passing defenses and 5 that were 100th or worse

miami gets no credit imo, they pulled their all word qb as soon as he got some record; with him playing all game; they likely woulda won. maybe the qb and coach had a deal where he could walk once he got the record, who knows; but win, even a bowl win woulda meant more for miami; he shoulda played the whole game or not at all.
