you could realistically mount them a bit forward without running afoul of the sidecut, but you would also move closer to and generate more pressure on the flex zone in front of the bindings.
I've found that the flex point is noticable - not as in the current Atris where you feel like there are different hinge points or flex zones in the ski, but as in pressuring the front on harder snow can cause the front to lift. It is no biggie - especially in lighter soft snow, but I do prefer BMT90s slightly stiffer shovels, even if the MVWs' construction is even more potent overall.
so I would personally just mount them on the line - they ski very well there imho. The tails are super duper nice in soft snow imho. Man, now I've made me want another pair :)
