Saw the truck today. Super clean, no real issues to my untrained eye other than tires and alignment, some paint issues on the passenger door trim, some surface rust (split between MN and FL for 65k miles, then CO since). Suspension is original so needs replacing soon (150k miles) but nothing noticeable while driving. Might be time for new wheels/tires and a lift. Pulling the trigger tomorrow.Quote:

Bad=parked my 80 in that spot under the tree and a wind storm blew a 6" diameter branch off on to the roof, hood and quarter panel. Now have some more dents.
Good=just picked my 40 up from the brake guys and it's now roadworthy.

Yeah, yeah. It's on the list of upgrades for the house. I have off street in the back but no garage. Normally they're back there but I just got the 40 back from brake work and the 80 is headed in for dent fixes tomorrow AM so they both happened to be out today. The deal we have is we build a garage when the house is paid for...tough to quickly pay off a house with a Landcruiser problem. But if any more limbs fall, it may happen sooner than later.Quote:

My bad, the Torfab rig was LHD as well.
I followed Nitro Gear's BJ73 build and it was sweet. I think they ended up selling it for $35-40k and it was the nicest build out I've ever looked at. It ran and was completely dialed. The guy asking $30k is off his rocker. Tough to find mechanics that will wrench on that thing at a reasonable cost if you can't do it yourself. And the dudes who can do it themselves are not going to drop $30 and still have to do the work.

Some Cruisers I saw in Tasmania a year ago. Most cars there were Toyotas, maybe half of those were Land Cruisers: there's an insane amount there and most have snorkels.

Don't think the green one is a bandeirante but I could be wrong. I thought the bandeirantes had a nose like an fj40. Sure looks like a defender.
