Mixed rain/snow at lodge level at Schweitzer yesterday, snow up top. Summit picked up 4" during the day but was fogged out and windy. I wound up not skiing and went home to watch a GREAT Super Bowl instead. Probably just as well since I had a lot of stuff to do around the house before the game. For the Feb-Apr forecast of colder than average temps and above average precip to take hold, it's got to start soon. Not much happening this week but I'll be gone from the 14th through the 22nd so it will dump for those eight days, I'm certain.
Damn what a sweet sleeper day, skied first tracks all day. I only post this since I have tasks eliminating me from powder patrol tomorrow.

Wow, nice surprise today at Schweitzer. 3 new per the report but solid 8 in some areas. C3 was nice all morning along with the Face, trees either side of Jack's Dream. F was good early, before the boarders slid it out. A lot was blown in and cold enough to make for good skiing instead of just bullet proof crud. That wasn't forecasted today so not many people.
