This season proves that experimental forecasts, like the one Klaus Woltner prognosticated to all of the papers, is a bunch of horse crap.
The ONLY thing he got right was that there'd be little precip on the plains.
any afternoon reports?
LL was looking GOOOOOD when I drove by there right when the lifts were winding down.
Email from Loveland said they had 7" as of this afternoon with 4-6" more on the way tonight.
just been looking at the steamboat cams for a couple hours.......nuclear winter up there. they have cams you can control, and barely get visibility in wide angle.
anyone up in the park range have some reports?
We haven't gotten squat in Leadville or the Sawatch really.
Snotel sites appear to range from 9 to 14ish. Vail Mtn site reports 14, I have 12 on the deck.
Still going strong at the basin.
Anyone seen the west side of Democrat recently?
^^ Sweet thanks. Was thinking of skiing the west side early Sat before work. All I have time for this weekend.
aout 2" at the house, last night I was coming home from the animal hospital in Denver and the Pass was as bad as I have seen it this winter. It was full on whiteout, couldn't see anything, had to rely on rumble strips to know I was on the road....cars everywhere.
Whiteout this morning up on Crystal. We turned around just below the upper lake. Up to4" of new probably overall with some deeper drifts around. Tomorrow could be a really nice day.
Anyone up in Summit/A-Basin report in? With 6" this morning and possible snow throughout the day, I was thinking of heading up tomorrow.
And it never ends...

Weekend looks to be really warm, you should get some great corn conditions RT.
5" at the Basin. Should make for continued good skiing at the Mini this weekend, and it looks like temps in the high 50s to low 60s. WoooHoooo!!!!!
We got a solid foot up here. Went skiing after work. The snow was wet and heavy, but it was coming up near my knees on the way down - took some pics, but they came out pretty blurry.
holy hot weather Batman!
it has felt amazing fo sho. Gore Creek is crazy high, really big water right now. Looks like a good freeze again this weekend.
Now, although I love every excuse to keep my skis out... COME ON! That warm weather was really starting to grow on me. This is def not what I wanted to wake up to this morning.

Tornado Hits Weld County, Severe Damage In Windsor
GREELEY, Colo. (AP/CBS4) ― A tornado caused heavy and widespread damage in the northern Colorado towns of Windsor and Greeley on Thursday, but no serious injuries were immediately reported.
"My house is gone," said Pete Ambrose, a caretaker at a Weld County park outside Greeley. "I lost my dog. I lost my cats. I lost my camper. I lost everything."

It's snowing outside my house right now. Not really sticking in town, but I'm sure it'll be up higher.
Looking like it will corn up today? Or too cold and grey?
too cold and grey is my guess. We were up on Evans today and it was cold and WINDY!!!
Any one been skiing up in the park since the storm this week (may 26-28, 2008) I am wondering about conditions around Flattop and Dragontail coulior.
