Seriously... it's Saturday of PDW, where the hell was everybody this morning? Place was empty while I was out there from 8:45-11am.
I think they all went to Snowmass for the 10”. The bum rush for the VX sucks, but I didn’t ride with another person for three hours.
Great skiing, beautiful day.
Luckily coming from Snowmass, I don’t deal with merge.

Highlands was pretty perfect this morning.

Photo Whore.
Nice shot!
I will agree with this. We caught rope drop on Bowl/Temerity and the amount of untracked in the G's was ridiculous. Photo my kid took:https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6a1c4ce63b.jpg
Screen grab when my buddy finally dropped first…
I only have been out once this year for any content creation.
And thanks.

How long you in town?

I think we get a big non-skier (or very casual/beginner) crowd on holiday weekends now too. I was standing next to Russell Westbrook in the coat check line at dinner last night, don’t think I’m competing with him for first tracks in the dumps

This for sure. 3 was getting stacked but no one was really skiing off-piste. With Ikoneers blacked out and expensive flights and hotel beds it’s a particular crowd that’s in Aspen. I can’t speak for Snowmass, though traffic was backed up leaving town along 82 at 9:15 yesterday morning. Red plated suburbans stacked with City folk flooding to the gentle curves of the Mass
I love that Aspen Ski Co renamed this "run:"

7” reported up high at Highlands; it was socked in all day yesterday and there was a strong, microburst yesterday afternoon. I’ll be at Aspen this afternoon for a few. Got to rip around Buttermilk yesterday with a pack of 5th graders. Skiing remains fun!

Read that Aspen will be closing some lifts on weekdays due to lack of crowds. It's seriously gotten so expensive that us mere mortals can no longer afford the price of admission. It's one of my favorite ski areas to ski, and have always had great times there with the wife. All that is to say, that a bit jealous you RFV mags have such an awesome piece of the mountains all to your selves!
Heard Highlands is a zoo with whatever alpine race is happening today/this weekend.
Just loaded onto 1A. Full FIS takeover going full-throttle now

Traffic backed up maroon creek all the way to highlands garage and this arrogant piece of [emoji90] thinks it’s ok to pass everyone on the outside dirt gutter and then push his way back into the single travel lane.
Would encourage anyone with a dog to deposit its excrement under this asshats door handles .

Snowmass is just so easy.

They even buff the Ditch!
I was trying to park a school bus at 1pm in the core and ended up by the ice garden and walked to 1A. Skied some fun hot laps all over; just soft enough in Cone, Silver Queen and Face.
Town feels a bit out of control this weekend with Ikon non-blackout and the Palm Tree festival. Apparently bookings are higher than last weekend across the board. Nothing actually to the level of X-games, F&W, 4th - but just kinda sloppy and trying too hard. The scene around gondola plaza at 2:30 was a shit show of second-tier, new money types in felt hats and designer outfits preening and trying to get in somewhere...
Yeah…it’s definitely not uncrowded.
Snyder’s, Eden and the right side of the DT boundary line were fun today. Kids had a great ski day…but highlands had unusual lift lines….at all lifts

People watching was all time.
So many didn’t show up to Aspen today until 11, most of them were up at 6 to do their hair though.
Looked like most of them were having fun though
