From the Nat'l Parks Service:
It’s summer! Time to dust off the old chart…
We all know national parks offer a unique experience for watching wildlife. But with that privilege comes responsibility. Visitors are responsible for their own safety and for the safety of the animals, too. Simply put, keep your distance—no touching, no feeding, no harassing. For those that do follow the rules and give animals the room they need, THANK YOU! Share this message far and wide with those who don’t follow parks online or may need an extra reminder that a 2,000 pound bison always has the right of way. Also, though the squirrels at Grand Canyon National Park may do a spot on impression of Oliver Twist, please, sir, they don’t need more of your snacks. We want everyone to have a safe and memorable experience in the parks, animals included.

florida license plate, I'm pulling for the bear.
The bears in YNP are so tolerant. If they weren't it would be a bloodbath every fucking day.
That ranger should have fired some hazing shots at the tourists as well
I agree with this. Fire beanbag rounds at any tourists outside their vehicle. I am serious.

Even better, impromptu tourist fights, like bum fights, with bets on the winner. Huge bonuses if they include some wildlife.
Is that big guy hurt? He keeps his paw in the air while running at the ranger faster than Usain Bolt...
Ranger is pretty damn composed! Agree with the collective though, a few rounds into the side of cars to disperses the gapers would be as beneficial as hazing the bear.
What about a tourist hunting season? Some culling could reinforce avoidance behaviors, like staying in your Escalade.
Yeah poor guy was just looking for some medical attention and he got beanbag rounds instead

A pet peeve of mine is that the park service uses yards - ie stay 100 yards away from animals.
People are so dumb that I think if they said 300 feet instead it *might* register more with people to stay further away.
since many people have very little concept of how far distances are, simply a larger # might psychologically register as further whereas it is still the same distance requested.
Yeah, did not notice that the first viewing. Definitely an injured paw. Poor guy.

Hey lets make a zoo with no fences and then get all high and mighty on tourists standing in parking lots that don't do exactly as they should. (ps the person filming said lady who ran away while being charged was literally breaking the same rules)
Huh?
AR brings the dumb…or he’s wasted.
