Sure, seems like a longshot but Holloway is stepping up because the worst thing that happens is he takes a beating. He's going to make some good money without putting his own belt on the line. And, if he pulls off the upset, he is golden. He'll get points on pay per view sales for at least a $10M payday fighting McGregor in the Two Belt Champion Superfight. The UFC can sell the hell out of that rematch. They can pay McGregor $30M and Holloway $10M and still make a boatload of money. The downside is a concussion, the upside is more money than he'll ever make otherwise. And if he beats McGregor, the sky is the limit. So, taking this longshot actually makes a lot of sense for Holloway; the ratio of reward to risk totally makes sense.
