Do you have any herd protection? I've heard donkeys can really eff a coyote up. My brother has a Great Pyrenees for night shift guard duty and an Anatolian Shepherd for the day shift. Coyote (and hogs) haven't been a problem whatsoever ever since. It's absolutely insane being outside at night, seeing the Pyr's ears perk up, head up, eyes fierce, then go bolting off blindly into the woods in full attack mode. So badass. Totally eliminated the problem. They simply don't come near the livestock at all anymore.

Funny semi-related story, a co-worker of mine had some little toy dog that his ex-wife left him with. He grew to really love it. Dog grew old and went mostly blind and mostly deaf. One night he let it out before bed to do its thing and a raccoon killed it. He went on a total raccoon rampage for about a year. I lost count of the death toll but it was easily double digits.

Friend of mine solved the problem--coyotes bothering his horses-- with an Anatolian shepherd dog. They're bred to kill wolves. They don't particularly care for people and prefer the company of sheep. Presumably they'd get along with goats.

Didn't KQ or someone day that donkeys will keep coyotes away?

Some of my buds in college were the world freestyle frisbee champs. They were huge deadheads and had their own line of real freestyle disks.
The were called the Greatfull Disks.

The Dead’s lawyers crushed the life out of them, at a very young age.

I used to wear Garcia ties. They were nice ties but ties seem sort of antithetical to the GD ethos. They did claim Jerry actually designed them, some apparently from the grave. I have my doubts.

Have I mentioned not being on time, here? “I’ll be there at 7:30am” means you roll up at 7:28, goddamnit. And only that late because it always takes you 3 minutes longer than you plan for it to take to fill up your coffee thermos, put on your coat, and figure out where you left your keys.

My wife wouldn't even start filling her coffee until 7:35. And I usually have to find her keys for her despite the keyrack that she made and placed by the door.

You could've shown up early with the whole crew and multitasked in the car while waiting.

Boston people are a bunch of damn wimps. It snowed ~8in overnight and our nanny is scared to drive because the roads next to her house aren't plowed down bare like the one in front of our house. It snows here, buy some damn snow tires, shovel your driveway and show up to work.

I guess you just cant get good help these days.
